The past couple of weeks I must admit, in spite of a couple of late nights, I have been getting in the sleep. Last night the entire household was in bed by 9:00! LOL! Nothing for us ol' country folk to do out here! I was wide awake at 5:00 this morning and ready to get going for the day. The low point was that little bleeping dog decided to leave a "gift" this morning for me to clean up. I cleaned it up, and "reframed" the situation---at least I did not have to go out in freezing temperatures with him. LOL! I got my coffee going, did the rest of the chores in the kitchen and then my Bible study and prayer. After that, I was good to get Week 5 of Cycle 30 going. I cannot believe how fast this cycle has gone. There is only one more week left to go. After the Cycle ends, I will get in a 2-week Intercycle and start the $100,000 Bodyspace Transformation Contest on January 27, 2013. Anyway, the workout was good today. Those 3 sets of 15 hanging leg raises (chin-up grip with straight legs) continue to kick my old butt, but everything else is going well. I finished my 1-mile run in 6:15 today. It was a very strange run, I could not find a rhythm, and just did not feel "good." Some days my runs can go that way. Tomorrow is a 2-mile run and I will see how that feels.
This past month, I know I have regained some of my pre-injury muscle. My pictures are beginning to look more like they did at the end of 2011 through the beginning of 2012. That is good. However, as the muscle has come back, I have gained a few percentage points of body fat. I also believe that I have indulged too much in cakes, breads, pies and cookies. LOL! There has been sort of a "creeping" effect. I know that this week, that has to be the case. I weighed in at 150.6 pounds, which is a 2.4 pound gain in one week. It is time to focus and get this diet under control. I am don't mind the extra weight if it is muscle, but the fat has to be down to see it! The pictures, with the new camera, don't look too bad. But I know they can be better. This camera is a bit "smarter" than my other camera and adjusted itself pretty well for the bright sunlight today. So I managed to get a few pictures where the abs were not totally washed out (what remains of them) in the pictures.
Anyway, this week is a focus on diet, preparation of Cycles 31 & 32 (Transformation Contest Cycles), and planning for this transformation contest. I work out six days per week, I might as well use this contest to sharpen myself up, address week points, and experiment with my workouts. To place would be icing on the cake and probably a bit far-fetched! LOL!

- 3 x 40 Reverse Crunches
- 3 x 40 Crunches (with 20-pound dumbbell)
- 3 x 50 Push-ups
- 3 x 15 Hanging Leg Raises (Chin-up grip with straight legs)
- 3 x 1 minute Rope Jumping
- 1-Mile Walk
- 1-Mile Run (6:15)
