Sunday-November 18, 2012-Week 2 of Intercycle Begins
On Friday, I told myself that I would not allow myself to feel flat any longer! LOL! I took Friday night and yesterday to just relax, sleep, read and to do whatever I needed to do to pull myself out of my "flattened" state!
This morning I was up at 5:00, feeling great. I got the dog out and fed, burned trash, straightened up the kitchen, had a great cup of coffee and got to my Bible study and prayer.
After finishing my morning routine, I had a number of errands to complete for my parents. I managed, however, again to be drafted to cook dinner! LOL!
I guess that is fair since Mom will be doing the Thanksgiving cooking! She has, in fact, started on some things. So, after returning from the store and errands, I put dinner on and finally got around to my stretching and 2-mile walk. My arm and shoulder were a little painful today. I guess it is just "one of those days." I can go days with no apparent pain or difficulty and then will have some aching for a few hours or so. After that, the arm and shoulder feel good as new. I have, however, decided to take some pain medication on a regular basis for a few days. I want to make sure I am feeling my best to begin Cycle 30 on next Sunday! I am ready to get moving and to end 2012 on a high note. This has been my annus horribilis ("horrible year" or "year of horrors"
. Next year I want to have an annus mirabilis ("year of wonders"
. The preparation begins now!
Tomorrow I will do my full bodyweight workout, stretching and 1-mile walk and run. This week, as with last, I am working to keep the diet on track. I will weigh in on next Sunday. I am considering working toward 140 ripped bounds. We will see if I can lose that 5 pounds without sacrificing muscle.
As always, I am wishing everyone a FANTASTIC week, in and out of the gym!
Here is what I did today:
- Stretching
- 2-mile brisk walk
