I officially did the first workout of my new 2009 Six-week exercise cycle. I worked arms and shoulders and did planche training. I paid extra attention to form and really stressing the muscles. I also paid more attention to the time between sets of each exercises (no more than 2 minutes).
Planche training continues to go well. Today is the first day that I have been able to get close to doing a true tuck planche. The arms were fairly straight today.
My first three mile run of the week was the big surprised. It took me a little time to find my rhythm but when I did, I was able to run a personal best. I guess there is something to taking a little time off. I ran three miles in 23:52 today. It felt really good, although I know I will experience a little soreness due to the time off.
I hope all of my friends and BodySpace members are having great weeks and workouts!
Here is what I did today:

The thing that I learned from a lot of research is that if the body is worked it WILL get stronger. I think the challenge is, at my age, how fast can I get the process to move! I’m getting excited about the planche push-up training. It is having a good impact on my arms, shoulders, and my chest and I AM getting stronger. Thanks for the comment.
