Sprint Training Part Deux
One of the guys here suggested I try doing my sprint drills on a hill if I wanted to improve my time faster. So this morning I made some time this morning to hit a local park where there’s a hill, it’s got about a 45 degree grade. After doing 8 weeks of sprint drills at the track, I didn’t think it would be so hard.. I was WRONG!!! The first time I went up, I kinda misjudged and I didn’t get all the way up. I Let me just say that sprinting uphill is alot more demanding on your muscles, heart, and lungs. I haven’t felt a burn like this since I first started training. And I loved every minute of it, especially as I more accustomed to it. I’m hurting like a !@#%!@ right now, but it’ll all be worth it when I cross the finish line in two weeks.
In a nutshell, my workout today:
In a nutshell, my workout today:
10 minutes warmup
10 minutes for plyo and start drills
25 minutes for uphill sprintings, 12 sets x 30m, 6 sets x 60m
15 cooldown jogging and stretching

This is awesome, good for you. That sounds pretty intense. I remember when I played Rugby I did a lot of hill training. It makes regular sprints feel easy and your endurance will climb so much.
