Well, as usual I didn’t complete all of my goals but was able to put a good dent on them. In 2008, I was able to lose 20 pounds although my body fat remained high. This meant leaving behind the 159’s (hopefully forever!). That was the highest I’ve ever been and I don’t expect to be that high ever again. I exercised for most of the year; from January to September religiously but after that got burned out and exercising has been erratic. Right now, I’m in the 136-138 pounds range and at about 31% BF. So, that will be one of my goals to attack next year.

So there is officially 5 months ’til the end of the year. I started strong and I plan to finish the year strong. I’m not going to base this time on weight; my goal is based on BF% and I really want to see what 15% feels and look like.
Today hit the treadmill and worked back and legs. I’m reading about Precision Nutrition this weekend to see if that’s what I want to follow next

Gotta keep going as I gave away all my fat clothes and I’m not buying anything over a size 8. My challenge will be to lower my body fat by 3.5% this month that’s roughly 2-3 pound of fat on August.
starting BF%: 26%

So, tomorrow is the end of this six month journey. I must admit that although not easy I had some fun once I started seeing changes…. don’t we all LOL.
I lost about 20-something pounds and lost a bunch of inches. This experience teach me that I really need to put emphasis on nutrition as thanks to my body type is very carb sensitive. I’m going to start ‘playing’ with macros starting next week to see how my body responds to different amounts of carbs.
My only gripe would be that I wasn’t home to take pictures in the same spot… At least I did pack the same clothes used to get some sort of consistency out of them
Here’s my summary picture:

I decided to do a new entry for this one. I entered their novice bodybuilding category and I have 19 weeks to make something happen. Since the recomp contest end at the end of the month this three weeks I’m going to be doing 3 full body workouts and 5 - 8 cardio sessions per week. I’m following a low carb diet and my goal is to be as close to 20% BF as possible.
After this I’m going to do a clean bulk for about 10 weeks and then cut again for 6 weeks. Let’s do this

April 30, 2008
Well, April wasn’t as hot as I would have wanted it to be as far as exercising go. Weight barely moved but I lost a few more inches… I should be happy but I need to put my game face on and attack this last 3 months of the competition and get going.
Lots of traveling this month killed my motivation. I have one more trip planned for May and after that I’ll try my best not to go anywhere until August.
At least I’m closer to my 125/15% body fat goal

Can’t believe April is here and so the third month of this competition starts. The focus this month is going t be lower body. My goals for this month is to lose at least an 1.5" from each thigh and hips. Weight has been steady in the 145s so I’m also upping cardio so I can be at 139 for the Aaron’s dream weekend in Talladega. And so let’s do it

Well, vacation is over and now my main goal is to lose at least 4% BF in a month. Yes, I’m planning to work really hard this month so I can be looking pretty good when we go to Talladega for the weekend!
I got my program from Team Scivation and so far I’m loving it. I got my BF tested by calipers at the beginning of the week and I’m right at approx 33%. The time is now to make changes

So it’s Spring break. What this Floridian do? I went up north to see snow up close for the first time. How crazy is that! I could have been playing at my pool but the thought of playing in the snow was too much fun and to do all this for dirt cheap… priceless.
Although I’ve been having a blast and I have kept up my workouts I’m ready to go back to my tropical weather LOL. I’ve been calorie counting and I will not visit a restaurant that doesn’t disclose their nutritional info. It’s the only way I can make good choices because temptation is everywhere.

Can you believe that! Well, for my second 4 week cycle I only lost 3 pounds. I know why this happened as the week hubby was on vacation my diet and exercise was awful. At least my BF% went down a tiny bit. I’m going to wait until Friday to post about new measurements so they are inline with the recomp contest.
I’m adjusting macros for this next for weeks… they should be very close to 50p/30c/20f. I’m going to do 1300 cals on non-training days and 1600 on the training days.
Can’t wait to take pictures this Friday…
