I’d like one order of triple-bypass! Oh, and a diet coke!
Hum, Ok, …NOW I understand why America is F A T !!!!
O My God, what are we feeding ourselves?? If you want to kill your worst enemy, check out this LIST OF 30 WORST FOODS IN AMERICA! Plan the hit!
I am very food-educated as I need to eat out because of my job and the need to eat out so I spend a lot of time researching, asking questions, analysing and doing my best to analyse food from description and also how it looks(and tastes). Well, this list shocked me.
-Would you ever believe that a Blimbie vegetarian sub has 60g fat and 3532mg of sodium!!
-Quizno’s tuna melt sandwich has 1760 cals! 133g fat. Poor tuna!
-Chili’s smokehouse burger is 1901 calories! Alone with no sides!
-Uno individual pizza(you know the type you give a kid) has 165g fat! 4920mg sodium!
-My biggest shock: Baskin robins Oreo shake has 263g sugar!!takes minutes to drink! How do you FIT that much junk in a glass!!
check out the list: http://eatthis.menshealth.com/30.php
Obviously, you’re HERE(bb.com) so you are already health conscious, and yet, may still be surprised by these numbers. What chance does an ‘average’ person stand!!! Ouch!
my poor arteries! I would not put these foods near my mouth, not even cheat meal. If you find any more good data like this, please share. Perhaps we saved ONE person today from a triple-bypass!!!!!!

I hardly ever eat out, but can you imagine those folks who go out to eat lunch everyday? Like many do here where I work. It’s amazing when you look at all the numbers on those dishes.

I’ve seen lists like that before….its SCARY! People dont care enough to take a look about what they put in their bodies. What I really hate is that people feed kids this ****…setting them up for a host of future problems.

I totally agree that we all need to be responsible, make good choices, and be fit(isnt that why we’re all HERE!) Its just scary that the food industry has become not only so competitive but also cost-counscious that they will go out of their way to litterally poison food to make it taste great and make you come back for more. Most people know that a FRIED CANDY BAR just cant be good for you lol, but the "average" American trying to make good choices who orders a veg sub or grilled chicken salad is fooled thinking he made a good choice when in fact that meal was 2000cals and loaded with nitrates and unhealthy carbs, sat fats, etc.

Wow. Just another reason why we keep lots of kinds of fruit in the house for our 2 young boys. And they think Wheat Thins with cottage cheese is a great snack. If you’re creative enough with healthy foods , you can stay away from that junk. What scares me is the thought of them going to school in a few years and seeing how most kids eat! The sad thing is that people will still eat this stuff even if they know the truth.

What pi$$es me off (and my household is guilty of it too from time to time) is that we have been SO conditioned to get everything done in a hurry, that no one takes the time to prepare meals from whole foods. Everyone is so worried about getting the kids to soccer practice, or watching their favorite TV show that they don’t take the 20-40 minutes to prepare healthy meals. Let’s just take out that pre-made, pre-packaged frozen or boxed meal out of the freezer or cupboard and get dinner on the table in under 10 min because time is money!

oh my, makes me sick just thinking about it. People have NO idea how bad eating out can be. Even ordering healthy type foods like fish can be bad because it’s usually soaked in oil and butter.

You must have read my mind. I was going to post this to the site today, but you beat me to it. I subscribe to the "Eat This, Not That" newsletter, and it has been an eye-opener. The book is great, and I recommend it to everyone who cares about the food they eat.

Awesome that you put it out there for those that don’t know the truth behind the fast food or some so called healtheir foods. Little details like sodium, fat, sugars, are too often over looked, and we need to start paying more attention to what we put near our mouth. Thanks

Wow!! Never would have thought such high numbers could be in such small amounts of food. I done with eating out!!!
