Dirty Talk

If you’re not up for it, then don’t read this blog.  I’m going to cuss and speak of a language that is just plain offensive.  Personally, I like verbal action of the implied and not so implied.  However, only my husband speaks to me of the not so implied.  So, let me get down to it, I AM SICK OF WORKING OUT.  I can’t stand the thought of another rep, set, or even the freaking drive to the gym.  I’m sorry, I know this is bb.com and some of you have just suffered an attack of some sort, but it is what it is.  I’ve lost my workout mojo and it’s all across the board.  So, I’m rationalizing here, thinking maybe some "planned" time off will ease the guilt of the days I’ve been skipping a workout.  However, there is always that fear in the back of my mind where days might turn into weeks, weeks might turn into months and before you know it, there you are once again back to the soft fat ass you used to be.  So I wonder, how do some of these people on BB.com stay so focused and dedicated?  As I see Maddi and her ABS showing through.  Have you checked out her new guns?  Then there’s Mr. Bodyauditor who diligently and faithfully does his leg lifts.  LOL, bad example…bad.  I say to myself, "you’ve made it this far, don’t give up now"  which makes me want to puke with disgust.  Such sissy words and NO, for the record, I AM NOT PMSing!  I miss the days where the hard work felt good and it turned me on.  Walking out of there with a smile on my face, very satisfied.  I’m headed to the gym to work the legs and glutes.  I hate it though, just hate it and I wish that wasn’t so.

I hear you. What motivates each of us is totally different. but how about some positive reenforcement? I will give it a try. You look fantastic, keep up the hard work and sometimes a break is a good thing, but sometimes you have to just tough it out and work through what ever is dragging you down.

Girl, I feel you but keep it up! I clicked on your blog cause I was like omg that chick is a hottie. I have a similar body type and know how hard it is to maintain but trust me girl! You got the sexy…. Keep at it!

Talk dirty to me Belle! :)

Really though…we all go through these periods of disenchantment with the whole shebang. Listen to your body.

You just need some time off to recharge physically or mentally. Do something different for fun.

I’ll bet after a week…or even a couple of days you are ready to bounce off the walls and get back in there!

I’ve got this contest right now keeping me inspired. (THANKS FOR NOTICING!)

But even when the contest is over, I will have young boys like Mr Butter Pecan Double Dip to keep me going. :)

lol…yeah…it really is just about SEX.

I understand what you are going through. I think about it everyday. After the first year of lifting, it stopped being fun. after the fun, it becomes a job because if you stop, you will go back looking like you did before the gym. To tell the truth, i use fear as my motivator to go to the gym. i tell myself, hey, every unscheduled day off means more fat will accumulate. I also want to look great naked, so being out of shape is not even a thought. This is really a sad way to think, but what ever works- right.

We are all entitled to a few days off to get mentally and physically rested. if you have been overtraining, this rest is needed. You will think differently after the rest.

We have all had this conversation with ourselves at least once in our lifting lives. :-)

hey! sounds like you need some serious time off.

why do it if it’s not enjoyable? just like Derek Zoolander says

"there’s more to life than looking really really really.. really really good"

I usually try and find something new and exciting to just pull me into being physically active right now it’s kickboxing and usually in the winter it’s skiing or boarding and in the summer it’s downhill mountain biking. I think it’s all about balance and enjoying life. So WHO CAREs if you start to look a little soft. the only person’s opinion that matters about how you look is your own! I know i’m no sub %10 cut hulking beach body and I don’t know if i ever will be but by making your peace with it and looking beyond the gym doesn’t make you less of an athlete. So do what you have to do! we’ll still be here when you get back! good luck!

I try to workout everyday. My training goals is to look great and feel amazing to enjoy life. So, when I have something entirely else to do, like going to the movies, or dinning out with my wife, I don’t blink and go. Working out is a mean to an end, not the other way around. I try to put this on perspective and remember myself how important exercising is to my well being. That’s how I stay focused and ready to lift and pump.

There is no way you can keep the pepper year round. Take your break, and come back swinging for the fence.
