The Last Day

I love it, I love the end of things and the beginning of new things to come, even if it is just in a day.  I wonder how much of my 2007 is going to spill into my 2008.  It amuses me for some unknown reason.  As I look at my list of things I wanted to accomplish in 2007, I’ve had a very good year.  Yes, there is room for improvement, room to grow and that’s a good thing.  I woke up from a dead sleep a couple of nights ago, in a state of fear from a dream.  The fear of not accomplishing the things I’d like to accomplish.  Fear, has it ever held you back?  The fear of making it happen, the fear of wanting something and not accomplishing it?  What the hell is that all about?  Afraid to succeed and afraid to fail.  I need to give that some serious thought and I have.  What I’ve come up with is that the greatest fear of all would be not to give it a go, an effort and allow yourself to sit on the couch or sidelines out of fear.

On a good note, I remembered my freaking Anniversary for the first time on my own today.  LOL.  My girlfriend didn’t have to call me to remind me and I even beat my husband to it.  I’m not the most romantic person in the world so this is huge for me.

I’ve been busy with family and friends, I’m putting myself back on the "to do" list today.  I’ll be checking out the gym, revising my workout and getting food/supplements together.  Hope you had a great year and here’s to an even better 2008!

I believe it was Franklin D. Roosevelt who said "we have nothing to fear but fear itself," and it couldn’t be farther from the truth… Once you let fear invade any aspect of your life it can take over, like a poison. We can never be afraid. Even failure must not be feared as failure is the best way to grow. Good luck with your goals in 2008!
