This hasn’t been a good week for me. My legs and feet have not felt well since my Saturday run at the lake. I ran on Monday and that was not a good idea. I struggled thru the entire 45 minute run. I’ve been so uncomfortable, I haven’t been to the gym this week. Finally made it in to see my Chiropractor, plenty is not working right, especially my quads and hams. I can give it a go tomorrow or take it easy for the rest of the week. So far, I’m undecided.

Reflecting upon this week, it most certainly was a roller coaster ride. I had a couple incredible days at the gym and track, however, those two "20" something days caught up to my 35 year old ass! I have no game plan for this coming week (LOL) just showing up and let the rest take care of itself. I did make my first run today at 5:45 a.m. with the Luke’s Locker group. My knees and feet are sore, ran a little heavy footed. Thinking of making a trip to the Chiropractor and purchasing new shoes.

Wow! I’ve had a tremendous run yesterday. I completed my 35 minute run, nonstop (first time since I started Luke’s program) and covered 4 miles in those 35 minutes. Translation, about 8 minute miles. I should be pretty pleased, right? I am exasperated! Junk is just not coming off this body and patience is just not one of my virtues, atleast not right now. I wanted results as of yesterday. It’s so stupid, I’m having an emotion breakdown over this. It feels stupid. LOL. Anyway, thank God I’m stubborn and hard-headed. Yes, I’m going to the gym today and to the track.

Had an incredible day at the gym. Worked out with a girlfriend and she looks incredible. Our workout was intense and we will both be in a world of pain come tomorrow. Got my run in and that was tough. Legs were sore and tight to begin with but I completed the workout. As for my nutrition, it was impeccable. It’s been a good day.

Went on vacation last week and added an additional 3 pounds. It is what it is, fresh start today. Started out on my supplements, boy did I have a good pump going before I hit the gym. I increased my weights on my squats by 20 pounds and lunges by 10 and added some more exercises to my program. I’m working heavy for the next two weeks and following my Luke’s Locker training schedule which consists of 30 to 40 minute runs plus drills for this week.

By the time Thursday rolls around I am exhausted. I’m not seeing any weight loss but I do have muscle growth coming on. I’m trying not to focus on the number the scale reflects but it is a very hard habit to break. Moving on, I’ll be starting on my supplement intake, hopefully this fatigue will subside and as for the scale, it goes in the closet for now! I’ll have to explain that to my husband.

I signed up for Luke’s Locker yesterday, training for a half-marathon. I am four weeks behind the program. My registration dates were wrong. Tried to get 30 minutes of running outside yesterday. It was tough! I didn’t get my leg workout in yesterday. I’m about as caught up as I’m going to be. I woke up this morning and hit the gym at 5:00 a.m., worked in both my upper body and lower bodyworkouts. Took it easy on the quad, worked with less weight. I still have some cardio to work-in, a dental appt. for the boys and a trip to get ready for. It never ends!

I so look forward to Sunday. By the time it rolls around, I need the break. My right quad is feeling good, I’ll be giving my regular leg workout a go again. I’m a little anxious about it, want it to be healed. The jog was great yesterday. My husband and I took a 2 mile run in 98 degree weather. It was HOT! Notice most my stats have gone up (LOL). I took my own measurements the first time I entered my stats, not a great idea. Had help with the second measurements, a little more accurate.

Staying away from the gym today. About two hours after my work yesterday I was exhausted! I’m sore from my legs, arms, back, abs, moving pretty slow. It is absolutely gorgeous in Texas today. It’s been raining straight for 6 weeks or so. I’m tired of working out indoors so I’m thinking I just might take a 2 to 3 mile jog outside.

My exericse is done and out of the way for today. The cardio was grueling, I finished it off but I was not into it at all. I changed my arm and shoulder workout, it’s intense! I was struggling at the end of the second set. I was so pumped over the challenge, I cranked out more reps in the third and last set. I am spent!
