Merry Christmas!

December 26, 2007

I wish anyone who comes across this post a happy holiday season and that their gym isn’t too full of New Year’s Resolution peoples.  As for myself, I will be trying to have a refocused energy on my goals.  Continue making it to the gym and focusing on proper nutrition.  Yay!

Out of the red and into the black

December 14, 2007

Another day, another chance to prove to myself that I can do this.

All sorts of positive affirmations fly through my head, but they don’t mean a thing without putting one foot in front of the other.

Now go!  and do good for yourself!

weekend troubles

December 11, 2007

Ack!  A whole weekend of meal debautchery.  I can’t believe I just couldn’t pull it together.  It started Friday night with after work going away party for a coworker, and then I wake up (figuratively) on Sunday evening having eaten and drinking everything I shouldn’t have!  I look like I’m pregnant with a baby keg.  I’ve got my work cut out for me.  *sigh*

Tired legs and questions

December 5, 2007

On Monday I put in an extra hour of cardio.  Tuesday I had leg day.  Tonight, Wednesday I have a soccer game.  Thursday I have another soccer game.  Tough leg week.  Should I feel bad if on Tuesday I didn’t put up as much weight as I normally do?  How should fatigue change the quantity of poundage I put up?

It’s kind of bugging me that I couldn’t put up as much weight as normal.  I didn’t even come close to the number of reps I had planned either.  How concerned should something like this be for me?

Hopefully, someone feels what I’ve been feeling.

Working from home

December 3, 2007

It feels so nice not to roll into work this flooded Monday.  I work for a bunch of lawyers and the whole place is a soulsucking hole.  Not only is it a bunch of soulless lawyers, but the business is going after bankruptcies and foreclosures.  Booming business right now unfortunately.  I gotta get out of this place before I get lost myself.  The only nice thing I’ve got going is that I can walk to work and the gym is across the street.

Picture day

November 30, 2007

Oh boy.  Picture day.  I owe my trainer progress pictures.  This isn’t going to be pretty.  Anyone out there have some last second tips to drop all that Tday weight?  Just kidding.  This isn’t going to be my best set.  Too late now.  Time to work extra hard to get back where I want to be.

Lots of cardio

November 28, 2007

Did an hour run to get some more cardio in.  i don’t think i do enough.  Could just run forever if you put some good TV in front of me.  How come that is?  It feels good to be drained.

Leg day was interesting

November 27, 2007

No big machine squats or smith machine squats.  It was machine leg extensions and dead lifts.  Overall, it all went well.  I do have a hard time holding on to the bar for the deadlifts.  May be just that I need to increase my forearm strength.

just posting

November 26, 2007

had a great arm workout yesterday.  hopefully i can keep the focus this week.  i think today is leg day.  it’s a love/hate relationship with leg day.  love it cause i feel like i actually worked my ass off.  hate it cause i had to work my ass off.
