Boy, I have been low carbing it for the fourth day now. I had no energy at the gym today. I hope I got an effective workout. I can’t wait to put carbs back in. Actually, I ate an apple right after working out. I couldn’t take it. My muscles were hungry!

Ok, so I have decided to bite the bullet and go no carb till July 15th. I have am afraid to lose muscle. I hope I can keep the balance, but I really need to cut and I know this is the only way. Watch out world, the bad mood is on it’s way..hehe….

I have only two weeks left of my 12 week test of eating clean and regular exercise. I can tell that my body has changed quite a bit. I had decided that these last two weeks I would go lower on carbs and calories and work my bum hard. However, now that I have started hitting the weights I am starving! I don’t think I can sit around for two weeks with my tummy growling all the time. So, I am going to continue my same eating, and when I get to one week before the shoot, I will cut back on the carbs. I am still only eating 1500 calories or less a day of good food. It has a slow and consistent effect. I don’t want to burn myself out on a good diet so that I can look good for the photo shoot. That is what photo shop is for anyway,

The weights are fixing my bum. Finally hitting the weights is doing wonders for the junk in my trunk. Those last few layers of fat are starting to melt away under the pressure of growing muscles. Yippppeeeeeee!

I have not gone to the gym to lift weights in over a year. I am already completely addicted to it. I loved it! I am going back tomorrow. Now let’s see how the progress goes.

When I was thirteen I remember laying on my moms bed while she was changing her clothes. I was soooo disgusted by the cottage cheese on her legs and bum I asked her, "Can’t you just do some leg lifts or something?" that statement has haunted me ever since. Everytime I look in the mirror and see the cottage cheese growing on my own legs I say, "sorry mom". I am also determined to not let it get out of hand. In a way she did me a favor. She helped me find the determination to not let myself go, EVER! This past year I have gotten worse than I ever was before. Thank God I am eating clean and getting control.

I am tired of all the people who eat crap all day long annoyed that I can’t go eat with them at fast food. I am tired of people thinking I am doing some crazy thing by eating clean. I am not OCDing. It isn’t a passing fancy with me. I am feeding my body the RIGHT way. This is the way I choose to live, so leave me alone!
I just had to get that out of my system, now I feel better!

I have noticed that so many things about me have been getting better! Not only have I been getting leaner, my skin has been getting healthier. My nails are healthier. My mind is clearer. The only thing that seems to have gotten worse is my house is dirtier. I seem to spend so much time each day preparing food and exercising and reading up on getting healthy that my house is suffering. Oh Well….

I have accomplished 8 of the 12 weeks I promised my friend I would try. It has been great. I am sure I will continue to eat clean and have a healthy lifestyle. With the photoshoot quickly approaching in only 4 weeks I can see that my body is getting stubborn. The gains in the last week have been minimal. I have several pockets of fat that I want to lose. I will just have to work a bit harder.

For the past few days I have been using www.fitday.com. It has really helped me make sure I was getting the right amount of food, etc. I was getting really run down. Someone suggested that maybe I was not eating enough and should monitor more closely what food I was eating. on fitday.com it is very east to track your food intake. It also tracks your activity and how much you are burning. It helps you reach your goals more quickly with your personal metabolism, etc.. It really is great. If you don’t have a free membership, you should join right away.
