well im sad to say that since my last post i have fallen off the wagon, well for a few days anyway.I got to week 3 and noticed nothing happening.Training was the same eating was the same but nothing changed in a week!Anyway so i was feeling kind of down and a friend asked me out on a night out so suffice to say too much alcohol and two days recovery eating later and i am back at 142 lbs!

Am so annoyed with myself,i guess it has made me realise that when i don’t see anything changing i think there is no point. That was last weekend and i have been trying to get back on track but am so demotivated.Ive started to feel hungry in the evenings,am totally confused about what to eat and how much, the info i keep finding is for male bodybuilders or real female bodybuilders, which im sure is way too much food for someone like me.Plus i can’t seem to get the timing right in terms of shakes and stuff when training.

My schedule is a bit eratic you see as i have kids and university,i can usually only decide when to fit in a session last minute so its really hard to be armed with the right foods and timing them properly.

I guess you guys have heard it all before but im starting to think im wasting my time.I would love to drop 14lbs by march, april but i already run 3-4 times a week first thing for 35minutes and do my weights 3 x per week.My diet apart from the slip up has been really clean but i don’t see any changes apart from the bit i lost at the start.

Don’t know whats going on,i guess some advice would be useful from someone who knows where im coming from.I would love to do more weights/cardio but i don’t think i physically can.

Im taking green tea extracts,L-arganine and ECA stack but still nothing much shape or tone wise is happening ggrrrr!!!!!!

Sorry this ones a real moan fest just needed to vent and feel sorry for my self before i head out to do more cardio…

The next blog will be more positive i promise.lol

Any tips gratefully recieved.

well i am still going strong which has suprised me more than anyone else i can tell you.Funny because i don’t feel deprived in any way actually which i thought i would.I have started to notice a difference already,my clothes feel looser and my legs feel tighter.I took my other half to the gym with me to train legs the other day and i actually did 100kg on the leg press! I know i don’t know how either. This wasn’t just once but for 3 x 15.Not bad for a beginner eh? anyway i am thinking of changing gyms at the mo b’cus there is a lovely one just over the road from me with really great facilities including a sauna an steam room!!mmm thats what i was thinking! that and the jacuzzi, heaven after a tough workout.Plus they have a little cafe that sells protein shakes and bars for that post workout feed.

Im thinking i must start searching for meal ideas on here,im sure there are lots of great ones, all i keep doing is fish an salad or chicken and broccoli.Have had a small lean steak an salad a couple of times but apart from that im lost.I know they have recipes in the muscle & fitness mags but im not too sure if they are any good for when your ‘cutting’.

I have had a look lately at a few competition photo’s for womens fitness and figure and i think thats the look im after.Although i would really hate to part with my boobs so not sure if i would get as lean as some of the ones ive seen.

Maybe i will even enter myself into a local comp if i get down that far, enough to not look out of place anyway.

I dn’t know if there are any figure or fitness ladies or hopefulls on here but would be great to get some more info if any should see this.Anyway thats me for now, forgot to weigh in this morning in the rush so i will do it 2moro morning, the first day of week 3.

Oh and i have an added incentive now in that an old friend is getting married in may, i just found out and she has always been obsessed by weight an size b’cus we are very similar in those respects so i need to make sure i look tip top in time for that, not to out do the bride or anything, just want to be at my best.

ciao for now.

Keep up the good work everyone.

Well i made it to 11 days an no cheats yet.I must say i haven’t found that i have especially wanted to either which is amazing considering that my family have been eating chips and pizza around me.The only time i even contemplated it was yesterday at the funfair where they were cooking hot fresh donuts…mmm

but im glad to say i just told myself i didn’t need it and so didn’t get any.I think my other half is feeling slightly unworthy because im being so good,he has got out all his copies of muscle and fitness and is writing himself a new program for the run up to summer.

I weighed myself today and am 140lbs so am really chuffed having dropped 7lb so far(5lb since joining the site) if i keep on like this i should be tip top in no time.

The only prob i have with it is the weight training,im really a beginner when it comes to that area and so have just been wondering round the gym doing 4 sets of whatever is free at the time.I do challenge myself in terms of the weight i lift but its nothing compared to you guys and gals.I am hoping that its not going to hamper my progress to much to begin with,i figured id just stick to training upper body once a week and lower body once a week till i get a bit stronger, then add more.I am running every other morning for 30min on an empty stomache and will start doing a couple of toning classes a week.I have a question for all you lovely people about exercises for the backs of your legs and butt, i don’t have a curl machine for the backs of the legs at my gym so what could i do? like i said i really am a beginner so excuse the silly questions.

Take care and stay strong!

It is said that only 7% of the population actually train,so i guess i am in the minority(recently joined i might add)

So why am i hear? well i can’t say ive ever been fit or slim, nor that ive been particularly big, that is until i had my 2nd child and put on abt 3stone in the process.(Thats 42lbs U.S)I was miserable,it was summer,my partner is a huge 125kg x bodybuilder and my best mate is an x triathlete ,tall and lean and gorgeous! man did i feel the odd one out…

anyhow i decided it was about time i made a change. So i got my trainers on and started trying to run, suffice to say it was not a pleasant experience!I struggled to get around my local park once, but felt better that id done something more than moan.Well within 6 months id lost the 3stone and more and was lighter than id ever been.Suddenly i was getting loads of attention too,not just my o.h or my b.m.Everyone wanted to know my secrets and i felt like the champion of the world. However this didn’t last as long as i wanted as i figured i was there now and if i kept it up i could start treating myself to my fave foods now an then. The now an then became more like a treat a day and the pressure of deadlines meant that my running took less priority. So a year an a half on i am back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 10st(140lb) and miserable about the fact that i let it all slip away by taking my eye of the ball.

My biggest prob is that im short and carry all my weight on my legs,i found it easy enough getting everywhere else toned last time but my legs were always a huge bugbear, even with the running.I have to say im not on hear because i want to be a bodybuilder or anything i just want weightloss, fitness and tone.I figured that if any group of people knew anything about getting your body to the shape you want then it is you lot! So i started my cutting back regime 6 days ago,i am having porridge with skim milk an protein powder in the morn,a small carb low snack, lunch of fish or chicken with veg or salad, another low carb snack then fish of chicken/turkey/lean steak with salad or veg for dinner.Lots of water and running first thing on an empty stomache 3 days and hopefully now my gym has re-opened 2 weight sessions and 2 toning classes per week.It has been fairly easy so far except when a friend brought round wine to go with dinner and i had a few glasses the other night. I realised that alcohol really makes you hungry and fatalistic about your diet so ive decided to rule that out alltogether except 1 glass on a friday night with dinner.

I am hoping that by summer i can lose 42lbs and get back to great shape. My bmi is about 25/26 at the mo which i know isn’t bad but i have plenty of fat to shift, especially off my legs.

I haven’t really spoke to anyone on hear yet as im new so feel free to make any comments you deem relevant.
