Truck stop food, and diners…
Monday, April 30th, 2007Well, three weeks into a 4 week tour, and on the road my diet consisted of predominantly truck stop food (ie - Taco Bell, Mc D’s, etc.), protein bars, milk w/ whey powder, and diner food… so pretty much a ton of crap. The hardest part is not choosing the worst possible choices when you’re hungry… like I walk into a gas station and there are Krispy Creams and candy bars in my face… obviously I gave in a few times. I’m not sweatin it too much… i started at around 153 ish and I’m 155 ish now. I’ve managed to do several push ups and several crunches like 4 times (I’d do 200 push ups and 200 crunches - not in one set! over a few sets) and I jogged twice and did body weight sqats and lunges once too which surprisingly were kinda tough after a bunch of reps and sets.
Also, I got 3 days in at the gym when I stopped home for a few days and then went to a Y in FL, which totally sucked! I’ve got a new found appreciation for my Y at home! Wow, FL’s YMCA was so weak! Anyway, I was glad to get in there and hit everything a bit though.
I’ve been home since Fri and got in Arms, Legs, and Chest today… good workouts! I’m hittin Back tomorrow and possibly Legs before I go to NY on Wed. I’ve got shows through Sat, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to get in the gym or not, but then I only have a show on 5/11 (Fri) and then I should be done for a good while. I look forward to gettin in shape for the wifey, and lookin alright for the summer. The good thing is I haven’t really lost any strength since I’ve been able to do things here and there.
I’ve been off creatine for 3 weeks now too. I’m waiting to see strength/ size decreases, but none that I’ve noticed so far… maybe it’s still in my system? Whatever. I ordered that Dialene 4 today, so I’ll use that at some point this summer when I cut a bit… it sounds like a good product to aid me in losin some fat to bring out some definition. We’ll see.
