Uhhh… ?

So, I posted a blog a few days ago saying that I gained a lb, and it was weird since I had been doing cardio for the past 2.5 weeks, and hadn’t increased calories or anything. When I had weighed myself at 156 lbs on the 17th it was in the morning, I had just relieved my self of fluids and waste (just trying to make the point that my stomach was empty… sorry to be gross!), and all I had on was underware. Today, Jan. 20th… 3 days later… I weighed myself out of curiousity, and I was 154 lbs! Now, the even weirder things are that I started creatine on the 18th (which has in the past always made my weight shoot up), and my stomach was not empty… I had just eaten 4 egg whites, and about 1 cup of oatmeal about an 60-90 min prior. Ok, so, I did weigh myself on the gym scale, but this scale and the one in my home have always been the same. Kinda weird, but I’m not complaining. My strength has been great in the gym… especially last night on back/bicep day… I deadlifted 235 lbs for 6 reps, bent over rowed 165 lbs 7 reps, did 4.5 pull ups w/ a 25 lb weight hangin, and I curled 85 lbs 6 reps… yes, these are all great for me! Hopefully, I am starting to lose some fat, and in a few months I’ll look defined!

Quick update

I’ve been doing cardio every morning now for 2 & 1/2 weeks and not only have I not lost a lb, but I gained 1 lb! I’m 156 lbs as of today 1/17/2007. I’m not complaing, b/c i know it’s not fat… I’ve been eating cleaner than I had been before i started the cardio… could it be muscle? That’s what i would guess… pretty awesome. I’m also starting creatine again today - Sci Fit Kre- Alkalyn 1500… I hope it’s as good as they say!

Changin it up - tryin somethin new

I’m trying a different routine, which I have thanks to Justin (who’s on here). I’ve takin his routine and modified it a bit. We'’ see if it ends up being too much, but I think it will be good. I’m going to be training my arms twice a week, and maybe abs twice too, but everything else will be once a week. Cardio will now be done only 5 times a week in the morning as I will be doing biceps at lunch on Tues. and triceps on Thurs. at lunch. So, my 6 day split will be:

Mon. chest, front delts, triceps, and abs/ Tues. biceps/ Wed. legs and calves/ Thurs. triceps/ Fri. back and biceps, maybe abs/ Sat. side and rear delts, traps, forearms, and obliques.

How’s that look?

I’ve gotten up every morning and I’ve done the cardio… no half a$$ing it either! I’ve been pushing myself and it’s been good. I haven’t lost a lb and that’s great, b/c I would love to just get a bit more definition and not lose any muscle in the process. I’m expecting to probably drop down to 150 lbs w/ a lower body fat % in a few months. I stopped creatine on Friday, so due to that and all of the cardio I’m expecting to see strength decreases and am hoping to see more definition in due time. I was a little weaker in the gym on a few exercises this past week, but not too bad. We’ll see. I still have not decreased calories, and have been very good with cheatfoods. I only had 2 pieces of small candy last Sunday, and have been eating very clean. Alright, I did this b/c I’m bored. Bye.

I’m 155 lbs currently and 9.6% bodyfat. It’s 1/4/2007. 1/2/2007 I started cardio first thing in the morning (at 7 am) on a cup of Starbucks and 2 scoops of Xtend for 30 min. I’ll be doing this 5 days a week (Mon. - Fri.). Since I haven’t done cardio since September, the most intense it’s been on the tredmill was 5 mph for 12 min and theĀ other 18 min was walking at 3-4 mph. Also, on Tues. and Thurs. I do 30 min on the bike at lunch at low intensity and read Harry Potter! Pretty sweet. I’m lifting Mon/Wed/Fri after I get out of work around 5-5:30 pm, and on Sat. after breakfast. I’m hoping in a month or two I’ll start to look better, and maybe this Summer I can get my body fat down to 5-6%! Oh yeah, I’m not decreasing calories - I’m gonna eat the same as i have been with the exception of limiting cheat meals to 1-2 a week - if even that much.
