I dont get the way some people think. I got done with an extremely tiring workout last Friday and stopped by a friends house on the way home. While I was there another friend came over also and asked what I was doing tonight. I told him nothing just got done working out and on my way home. He told me he doesnt know why people bother with working out all the time he is 350 lbs and he still gets looks from girls. I laughed at him and told him it isnt about that at all. I do it because I like having all this energy and being able to feel the way I did at 17 and being able to out run my kids. I like the looks from girls also but definatly not the reason I kick my butt in the gym. he laughed at me and got up and left. I just cant get my friends to understand the feeling you get from not letting yourself grow old. Two years ago I was feeling at the end couldnt move limping around cause legs hurt from carrying around 300 lbs of fat but now I am ready to get off my butt and live.

I had some of the cadets at the fire department comming to me asking me about weight lifting today. That is a great motivation to me because these kids usually just sit and play video games or get on myspace and dont get active but they see that I am changing my lifestyle and come to me to see how they can change and reach their goals. To me that felt great and I am going to keep at it and get to that 200 lbs. I might even look into going back to school to become a trainer. It felt great to share my knowledge that I have aquired from BB.com and Gaspari forum wiith others to help others.. thanks Bodyspace

Here in Indiana it was a beautiful weekend. I didnt get to workout inside with weights or anything but I was tired Sunday night. Saturday I got up at 5 am and ripped the transom off my boat it was rotten took me till 7:30 pm to get it out but all the climbing in and out and under my boat I got sore it was the best workout I had. Sunday I fit a new transom in set out some fishing lines (took other boat out cause one I was working on isnt quite finished yet) climbing on truck on trailer in boat and then back out of water opposite as before was another workout. I caught 18 fish about 10-20 lbs a piece so after getting done at 12:30 am Sunday night I took my shower and went to bed. I am so sore I cant hardly move today. If I keep at this all summer I will definately lose the weight I want. I also have enough fish to last me for nice healthy lunches.

well is the last of april and getting beautiful outside. I still go to the firestation but I have moved alot of cardio to the outdoors and it is really motivating so many different ways to get you heart beating. I have a question tho. I had a swim test with fire department for water rescue. I didnt get to do it because someone cramped up in the water and they decided water was still too cold. I was really pissed. I was already in water and I didint find it that cold. Anyway I was practicing where I had to swim to and it is a long distance. I was really giving out just practicing. What can I do to improve my swimming besides swimming like what exercises should I perform. I havent cut back on exerciseing but havent been able to post much do to time. there needs to be more time in a day…thanks for everyones help.

since I took a break I had to lower a little weight but I was also trying a slow burn. starting a 10 count very slow while lifting the weight and then lowering to a slow 10 count and I did feel the burn ouch. I think I am back now tho. was just too much going on at time to keep up but all better now. I do need to regain the motivation I had at the beginning of the year tho and my daughter is going with me to help me with that. I really feel confident I am going to do this now.

I am trying to keep going but it is getting hard anymore (working over at work, death in family, sickness) where do I find time.I was sick off and on back in February and some in March. March I also lost my 30 year old niece to M.S. I went to workout last night did like 12 min cardio on treadmill no stairmaster no bicycle did manage to get in
3 sets 12x 100 butterflies on pec deck
on bowflex I did
weighted ab crunch 160 x 15 x 3 sets
tricep extension 80 x 15 x 3 sets
db curls 80 x 15 x 3 sets
but wasnt really feeling like doing it so I went home. I will try again tonight and some how I have to get re-motivated like I was I am doing good and I dont want to blow it. I wasnt real close to my niece but I guess it had more of an effect on me than I thought. I guess look forward to next week got to be better. I got my other niece on as a cadet firefighter she is a real motivater so I think next week she will whip my but into shape

My daughter and I went to the fire station. She is keeping me motivated by going with me. very good workout herat rate got to 160 kept it around 150 to 160 for about 30 min then started slowing down.
Treadmill 12 min at 6.5 mph
stairmaster 12 min i think around 20 floors
butterflys 100 x 12 x 3 sets
weighted ab crunch on bowflex 190 x 15 x 3 sets
bb curl 90 x 12 x 1 set 110 x 12 x 3 sets
bb shrugs 200 x 12 3 sets
pushups 2 sets 15
checked heart rate after workout and it was still 105. just wandered after cardio what heart rate was when I worked out . I was sweaty and felt like I could do anything afterwards. I just love that feeling. Oh yeah I know my posts are spread out a few days but I am keeping with the training just not enough time in the day to write everything down on here. My workouts do get staggered every once in a while but I do my best to make them up. Maybe daughter will keep going with me to motivate me. She looks good anyway but prom comming up and just wants to tone she says. Thanks for everyones encouragement. I know this will be the year I get to 200 or who knows maybe 180.

bb curl 110 lb x 12 3 sets
weighted ab crunch 190 lb x 15 3 sets
then had a fire run so more cardio I love it.
I am getting better dont even hardly get out of breath anymore no matter how hard I run. The fire run right after working out was definately an added bonus.
