Set a goal and follow through..... Just like school or anything else in life, you gotta work for it.... EVERYTHING in life is MENTAL..... block it out focus on what you have in sight, and progress.... next workout, push for more weight or reps... I know that gym has a lot of d-bags but go in there do work and get the F' out and eat.... that simple no partner is gonna be able to push you if you cant push yourself.

hey mate, try this.day before yer workout, think about what you will do and how you will feel.play it over and over in your mind.when it gets nearer to the time just think about lifting, nothing else. think about the extra muscle you will get. be determined to get it. oh yeah, and look at the profiles on bspace,it helps.

I understand what you are going through, I had the same problem for many years. It is hard getting motivated to go and workout. I have found the answer for me and it lies with Crossfit. I suggest that you look up Crossfit, if you go to crossfit.com, there is a list of affiliates. If there is a crossfit affiliate in your area, go and talk to them and they usually offer a free trial. It is the best workout you will ever do, and you will never be bored again. Let me know if you need to know anything else about it. Regards

I would say that squat, deadlift, and bench are the basics of bodybuilding, especially for overall strength and size. The other exercises are more for fine tuning. Personally if your back allows I would keep them in there to builld a strong solid base, got to build a boulder before you can chisel a staue. then lighten it up when youve reached your goals. Or you can run this for a few weeks and recover, just my 2 cents bro, keep trainin hard either way.

You've got the easiest workout there for a home workout!
Chest- pushups, make it harder by raising you're legs on a sofa.
Chest- towel/vinyl flyes: If you have polished floor, place two hand towels under each hand and slide them out wide to a bent arm flye position. If it's carpet you have put some vynil/slippery plastic under your hands instead.
Shoulders: Hand-stand pushups (I can't do these and haven't figured an easier version)
Shoulders: Sack press: buy a big sack of sand and use it as a weight to shoulder press.
Triceps: dips

Alternatively try a workout like shovelglove http://www.shovelglove.com/
or No weights? No Problems

I wrote these 2 ideas for public holiday workouts:

So there you have it: no excuses

Grab cans of tuna and jars of peanut butter at the store. Tuna keeps and carries well and peanut butter is a good high cal treat. Both are cheap. As you continue to age, your metabolism will slow some, so that will help eventually.
