weird

really weird that i gained weight but i still have the same measurements i did when i hit 125. not that i’m complaining! with all my weight loss i’m thrilled (and so is my husband) that my hips have pretty much stayed the same. my legs are looking so much better now too! i can really see and feel the cuts forming on my thighs. i tried taking pics to show them off on here but they’re not yet as defined as i’d like. but maybe soon!

vacations are the devil!!

so i’ve been gone for almost 2 months. first in ca then to sc. i was in ca for 2 weeks total and the whole time i only worked maybe 4 times and we ate some fantastic mexican food everywhere. ugh, so i ended up gaining like 5 pounds! but in the two days between my two vacations i worked out and ate better and lost it real quick. when i was in sc i picked up running. i’m only doing 2 miles right now and i finish in 22 minutes but that’s awesome for me being i haven’t really ran regularly since i was in tennis back in my senior year of high school. i was pretty awesome back then. we had to run 7 times around the school, which came out to 3.5 miles. and we did that every morning. but i was a stick back then cuz we never did anything with weights. it was all running around for us. but now that i’m doing my weights still i really think this running is going to help me shed these extra few pounds and let the muscle underneath finally show properly. so yay me!

new vids

it’s a good thing i’ve finally made working out part of my routine. i mean now on my workout days i feel like my day hasn’t started until i completed whatever it is i’m supposed to do that day. cuz if i didn’t then i would’ve quit. i get a short attention span with activities. so i have to have like two crafting projects going at the same time so i can switch between the two when i’m bored with one. so same thing with working out. i have so many dvds acquired now. anyway, my new kick is jillian michaels. i have three of her videos and they’re AMAZING! she does circuits and works out two muscle groups at the same time and because of that you get cardio in. i really think that this is going to help me with that tummy problem i have. i know you can’t do 100 crunches and expect anything. you need to do cardio. cuz if not you’ll develop the muscles but they’ll be hidden under the fat. so i’m realy thinking that soon i’ll be seeing the results i’ve been waiting for!

kind of frustrasted

so i met my goal about a month ago. and i’m still not happy. darn. even though i’m much smaller than when i started out, i can still see in my tummy that i have a lot of fat there still! i’m really frustrated also cuz i haven’t lost anything else yet. no more inches or weight. i keep fluctuating around 127. one day i’ll be 125 then back to 127 and some days even going up to 130 again. luke of course is thrilled with the way i look but i’m not yet. my back is amazing though, i gotta say much!

so i finally felt good enough to work out just now. it was really intense. so that was good

weighed myself and i made it to 125.8 today!! i think i’m being too hard on myself, but i still don’t like where i am. it’s mostly just my abs now that i don’t like. butt and thighs look pretty good i think. but i still have some belly i want to get rid of. ugh.

darn it!

so today is my day to workout and i was totally excited to do my new sexy circuit dvd from flirty girl fitness. unfortunately i got sick last night and i felt like i was over it this morning. wrong! as soon as i started i could queasy. so about 20 minutes in i had to stop cuz it just kept getting worse. i’m so upset. but it’s only 10:00 am. so i’ll see how i feel this night. hopefully i’ll be able to do with no problem.

i’m almost there

so today i was able to put another pair of jeans on and they fit comfortably.

i’m pretty proud of this incredible feat. i mean yes i can see a little bit coming out over the edge, but still it’s pretty amazing i think. now these are my size 5’s. i still more 5’s to fit into and 3’s and even 1’s. oh yes, i was a size 1. i pulled those up though and i really don’t want to be able to fit back into those. i had no booty! i was doing kick boxing last time i was small like that, almost 2 years ago. that was all cardio and i didn’t really develop any muscle tone really. therefore no ass and thighs really. this time though i’m using weights just about every time and i make sure i do all the squats and lunges i can and try to go down as much as i can. i really think that this time i can only hope to fit into the 3s. my thighs and ass are still pretty big, but luke likes that so that’s that. for me really it’s my abs i want to slim down.

and i noticed a new development…my quads! yup. a couple days ago i was noticing this really weird indentation right above my knees and i was like what the hell is that? it’s muscle that’s what it is!

day off

so luke (hubby) read some article on here that said working out every other day helps burn more fat. so i’m all for that.

#1 - that means more days of rest for pearl! before i was working out 5 times a week (breaks about 2 -3 days apart).

#2 -more fat burned? i’m all for that too!

is it working i really don’t know honestly. i’ve only been doing this whole excersicing  thing for a couple months now. and my weight loss seems to fluctuate anyway. so it’s hard to tell…

my biggest problem

i think i have some decent arms. they’re not toned yet, but i haven’t had a problem with flabbiness yet, so that’s a plus!

my calves are ok too. they’re not bulging or anything. but even without doing exercises they’ve stayed in ok shape.

my problem area though is my whole mid section. the thighs, butt, hips and abs. i guess it’s the mexican in me, but when i gained weight it all went there. so that’s my biggest area that i want to change and reshape. the vids that i’ve been doing have kept my butt and thinghs in good condition. before when i was skinny (like really skinny) i didn’t have either because it was all cardio that i was doing (kick boxing last year and tennis in high school). i know i don’t want to go back to that.

i bought the stripper pole from flirtygirlfitness.com and i’m in love with these workout routines! of the 7 i got, 3 of them are teaching you the sexy routines you’d expect. but the other ones are amazing aerobic routines. one uses the pole which allows me to do some amazing squats and dips i wouldn’t be able to do without using the pole to support myself. and there’s another that uses a chair (obviously it’s counterpart being a strip lap dance routine).

this is the best workout i’ve done by far. and hubby loves to watch me do it!

it’s a win-win situation.
