Skip,
When I went through the Naval Academy, we were actually trained to tell at least 2 stories a day. Most of the time, our stories had to do with what was in the news and sports section of the paper. Other times, we had to pick some event out of the history of the school and talk about it.

Looking back, I appreciate the lessons learned from what I thought was a tramatic experience because it does break the ice in a social setting.

Very interesting topic. Thanks.
Cheers.

Now this is a post! I was having the most unmotivated day possible. I just put one foot in front of the other and did my two workouts. I was "feeling" unmotivated..but I have found that doing it anyway is the best way to change those feelings. It took all day, but I finally "feel" better. If I would have based my workouts on how I was feeling I wouldn't have even gone to the gym. So, you are right, a lot can change in a day.
Thanks for the great post!!

When I told people my plan to loose weight, I got looks like, "yeah, that'll happen!" Now that they've seen what I've done, they congradulate me for my taking action. It can make a big difference in reaching your goals.

Very well said, leaders are made from decisions. Great leaders asume the responsability of their actions, and learn from them.

Your absolutely right. Being in the military leadership is definetly aquired. There are some NCO's that are definetly not Leaders. Because like you said they didnt step up and become one, they stepped back and watched everyone else.
