Become a “People Person” and Get What You Want in Life

Wednesday, December 20th, 2006

Become a “people person. Everything you want in your life that you don’t have right now will directly or indirectly come from other people.

Make building rapport with other people your top priority. Learn to mirror and match people’s breathing, body movements, posture, speaking patterns, semantics and words used, volume of voice, tone of voice and speed of voice. People tend to like people who are like them. People will like you if they feel good about themselves when they are around you.

Stay Poised When You Have Many Things to Accomplish

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

When it seems as though you have a million things to get done, you must manage your state-of-mind, keep your composure, and never get yourself overwhelmed.

All you can do is get one thing done at a time, right? You must make sure that one thing is done very well–then move on to the next one and do that very well too. One by one and with enough time, you’ll get caught up and produce outstanding work at the same time.

Be Patient While You Are Gathering Experience

Thursday, December 14th, 2006

There aren’t many things that contribute more to your success than experience. It’s pretty simple: You can only do something wrong so many times before you eventually catch-on and learn how to do it right. For some people, catching-on and doing it right may take 10 attempts. For others, it may take 100 attempts. The bottom line is that you will eventually get it right with enough experience.

Will you be patient and stick to what you are doing long enough to acquire that invaluable experience and put it to use?

Facing Your Fears and Making Better Decisions

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

When making the most challenging decisions in life, you will undoubtedly have some fear. Don’t try to ignore your fear€”accept it. Experiencing fear is part of the process of asking for more out of life and stretching yourself to a higher level.

Why? The most challenging decisions are much riskier than the easier ones. The greater the risks you take, the greater the rewards you’ll receive.

Don’t expect to be free of fear. Step up and do what you must despite of your fear. Courage is the antidote for fear. When making the most challenging decisions in life, you must demonstrate courage.

Decisions

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006

Any decision that you make in your life that’s based on your FEARS will always be the WRONG decision

Look Ahead to Your Compelling Future

Wednesday, December 6th, 2006

Where you’ve been isn’t nearly as important as where you are going to go!

Strive to Become the Very Best Version of “You”

Monday, December 4th, 2006

Strive to be the very best version of you possible egardless of any of your perceived challenges. We have what we have. Our job is to make the most out of what we’ve been given (and still have). If we are not careful, we can let our perceived limitations get in the way of our progress€”and the level in which we enjoy life. We must learn to consistently focus on what gifts we do have and not on the ones we don’t have.

Get Off to a Great Start This Month

Sunday, December 3rd, 2006

The beginning of a new month (week, year, and even day, for that matter) is a great time to redirect, regroup, and retool your mindset. Sharpening your mental focus will take one step closer to the magnificent life you ultimately want to experience.

What has to happen in order for you to make April a PERFECT month?

What would you have to accomplish? How much progress toward your goals would you have to make? Who would you have to talk to? What questions would have to be answered? What new information would you have to learn? Which phone calls would you have to follow through on?

You can’t make this an awesome one unless you are able to define what an awesome month means to YOU!

Now is the time to decide exactly what has to happen so that you are able to say how great this month was when you are reviewing it in 30 or so days.

Keep Plugging Away

Saturday, December 2nd, 2006

It really doesn’t matter how many times you’ve tried to “get your act together’ in the past. You next attempt could be the one that sticks and launches you to the next level.

Keep plugging away. The people who eventually “get there” are the same ones who keep on trying–no matter how many times they’ve failed in the past.

Creating Positive Change

Friday, December 1st, 2006

Positive change in your life first starts with awareness. You can’t start making better decisions until you understand why you are making your current, disempowering ones. Then, you must come up with a better set of strategies to create the life you want. You can’t keep on doing things the way you’ve always done them and expect better results. Most importantly, you must take action. You must commit yourself to actually doing those better thinking and physical habits on a consistent basis to get your life on track.
