Become an Expert and Feel Great About Yourself

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

One of the best ways to feel good about yourself is to become an expert at something you are passionate about. Become a master about something that interests you most. Totally immerse yourself in learning about something you love.

I once heard someone say that if you read only five books on a particular subject, you will know more about that subject than 95 percent of the rest of the world. That’s exciting! Whether you are interested in health and fitness, cooking, salsa dancing, real estate investing, or how to tell if a person is lying€”it doesn’t matter. Read those five books on the subject. Attend a seminar. Get enthusiastic about your specialty area and watch the people around you respond to your enthusiasm. People are attracted to other people who are passionate. You’ll find an audience who is interested€”no matter where your passion lies. You’ll find yourself becoming a people magnet.

Subtle Changes in Your Habits Will Change Your Life

Sunday, November 26th, 2006

Start changing the quality of your life by changing your habits. You don’t always need to make radical changes. Subtle changes€”done over a period of time€”can produce massive results.

Step out of your comfort zone and do at least two things every single day that I wouldn’t normally do.

Focus and Effort Is Required Every Time Around

Friday, November 24th, 2006

Just because you failed at something four times in a row in the past doesn’t mean you will fail on your fifth attempt. At the same, just because you succeeded in your last four attempts doesn’t guarantee that you’ll do just as well in your fifth.

Every time you attempt to achieve anything in life, you must focus and put forth your best effort. The past is the past and has no bearing on what you will or will not accomplish this time around.

If you failed in the past, stay positive and expect the best from yourself. Remember, what happened in the past has no bearing whatsoever on what you can achieve right here and right now.

If you’ve been fortunate enough to have achieved success in the past, stay grounded, stay focused, and don’t assume success is guaranteed this time around. You must earn success every time around.

Higher Standards Now Mean Even Higher Ones Later

Monday, November 20th, 2006

The sooner you start demanding higher standards from yourself, the sooner you’ll start achieving those higher standards. The sooner you start performing at those higher standards on a consistent basis, the sooner you can start raising the standards by which you live by to an even higher level.
