Who needs a Cheat Day?
Tuesday, April 17th, 2007It’s always been difficult for me during cutting season. I usually peak too early and fall off my program and diet by my target date. So far this time around, I’ve been doing very well with both. One of the things which always threw me off was ‘cheat day’. I would cheat that ENTIRE day, eating whatever! Yum-yum, gimme some…
This cutting cycle I’ve been doing really good on my regular days as well as cheat days. The cheat day has actually become only a cheat meal on a certain day. And the days are getting farther and farther apart. I look at what I want to eat and start counting how much I’ll have to work to lose what I’ll gain and opt for a better cheat food. I took the family out to dinner the other day, planning on having a cheat meal and couldn’t do it. I ended up ordering Grilled Chicken Fajitas instead of the Chicken Monterey.
I lost a month in February due to a work-related injury, and even though I’m a couple of weeks out from my short term goal’s deadline, I think I’m progressing pretty nicely. I know I owe most of it to eating cleaner.
