Lack of motivation lately…

Don’t really know what the deal is, but my motivation for the gym is at an all time low…it’s not hard GOING to the gym, but once I’m there it’s like, blah…. Im just shuffling around and not working much while I’m there..I’m considering not hitting it this week and just trying to go at it next week…blah…

Shifting gears

I’ve still been hitting the gym with light workouts and cardio but it’s time to shift gears. I found out today that the annual International Tug O War across the river vs. the Canadian firefighters/police is July 17th.  We’ve handed them their @$$es for the past few years so I know they’ll try and bring it.  Gonna keep up my HIIT cardio as I start back to lifting heavier.  Staying lean but getting my strength back now that the carbs are higher….stay tuned

2 days out!!!

Well, I’m 2 days out from my competition so you know it’s carb up time. Crucial point in the whole competition process..I spilled over last year when I carbed up starting Wednesday. Hopefully by postponing until now, I’ll hit my mark on Saturday.  I’m feeling good, no matter what the outcome from the judges decision, I’ve made improvements from last year. I’m leaner, my posing’s better and I put on a lil size. I can say I put my best foot forward and can go in confident I did my part. I already know what challenges I face and I’m cool with that. I’m competing against myself and putting my best effort in, so what happens, happens…

Day 2 of depletion (peak) week, 4 days out from showtime…the mind games are kickin in..the wtf am I doing this for, I want some pizza, I’ll never win, legs are behind upper body, etc. type stuff…you know, the usual..lol..just blogging some stuff to keep it movin.. worked back n bi’s today with posing in between sets…carbs are at 70g and plummeting …energy is good in the a.m. but wanes by mid afternoon, exactly when it’s time to pick up the kids from school..lol…they know the drill, if I hit the basement when we get home, gimme some ‘daddy time’ until I come back upstairs, foods on the stove..lol…get your homework started and I’ll catch u in a few.. posing more tonite…cardio in the a.m at 530am, workout at 11am…catch u later kiddies! blah, blah blah
