Well we beat Canada in the Tug Across the River for the 4th year in a row!  I’ll have to say it wasn’t easy.  Endurance is the word for the day.  My legs and lungs were on FIRE!!! (no pun intended)  I thought offensively attacking a 2 flat house is tiring.  I was worn out for about an hour.  Unfortunately my wife wasted the camera batteries on taking pics of the riverfront, but I should be able to get pics from the other guys.

I think I’m going to start concentrating on High Intensity Cardio rather than long slow bouts.  This week was a wakeup call on my conditioning as we also have an arsonist in our district and have been getting our tails whipped with fires.  How this guy is able to afford that much gas is beyond me!  But with the temps being as they are and this guy lighting 3 to 4 fires an hour, my cardio is being pushed to the limit.  I was only able to make it to the gym once last week.  I’ve got a little time off coming so after this weekend of rest, it’s back on the grind!
