Busting Ass and Loving it!

Friday, April 24th, 2009

So I have killed my last two workouts. Psyched myself up for them and pushed some serious steel. I did 300 pounds on the leg press tonight. If that doesn’t build some ass I don’t know what will! My arms are sore from Wednesday and I expect my legs to be sore on Sunday, but I love the pain of it! When I went to the gym tonight part of my psyching was to tell myself, "I don’t feel any pain." And I didn’t…feel too much!

Tomorrow I will be promoting the Chronicles at the Vitamin Shoppe on Rt. 22 in Union. Dwayne told me about it and asked if I had materials to share. I will go and talk about what I’ve gotten from Diamond and have flyers with my success/progress. I just ordered them from Staples and will pick them up tomorrow.

Two people today told me out of the blue that they liked the blog. One man as I was getting into the car as I was leaving the train station yelled from across the street "I like your blog!" He repeated it because it totally didn’t register with me at first, but when I finally figured out he was talking to me I yelled back Thanks and tell all your friends! He said he would. LOL.

When I was warming up before training tonight a woman passing by my treadmill said she liked the blog as well. She said she didn’t recognize me because I look better/smaller in person! That was totally nice!

They both called me/the blog inspirational which was of course awesome! Thanks for a very cool day folks!

What would your ideal typical day look like?

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

Alissa’s ideal typical day

I am a physical, spiritual, and professional role model to people—men and women, showing them that change is possible and helping them change themselves. My clients are through with the gimmicks and ready to take responsibility for themselves and their behavior to make a change in their bodies and their lives.

I wake up around 5:30 or 6 AM and get in an early morning cardio workout 30 to 60 minutes—treadmill, swim in my own pool, hot yoga, cross-trainer in my home gym in my 10 bedroom home in Llewellyn Park, NJ. I breathe in the peace and serenity of my home and meditate for 30 minutes. I then have a quick bite to eat then shower and dress. I enjoy the feeling of my body as I get ready. It feels smooth and firm and I love to see the contours. My body is so lean and tight it scares people. Haha. Yay!

I eat another small meal with Jay and Chris and the other baby, sometimes mom or dad too. The morning energy level rises with everyone up and I love the hustle and bustle of my people around me. Sometimes the twins and Lewiston and Opal are over too for a visit. I have household help to cook, clean, and babymind. Jay and Chris and the other baby and whoever else was around then go off to whatever they are doing (not my job to get them there most of the time).

I then get started on my workday—checking email (never before 9AM), checking in with my assistant for messages (never voicemail—you people know better!), calling back a few people as needed, checking in with finances because it’s fun to see all the money that accumulates. That is fun!

I then call up some friends, Barrington, Malene, Lashawn, Donna, Shelley, Dianne, Matais, or chat on Facebook for a bit—connecting with those good old friends is critical to my happiness and stability. I would also connect with my new friends all of whom have bad cases of high self esteem and are living on that higher plane.

I then work on some writing, video, or speaking project for Size10Chronicles.com. I have another small meal of protein and vegetables and water and take a rest, usually a nap in the early afternoon.

I then get up and have another workout, I’m still training with Dwayne three or four times a week. Sometimes I’ll drive down to Diamond and sometimes he comes up to the house. The workout is followed by a shower and a massage and a little more s10c work: talk to a high paying individual client or lead a high paying group of ‘chroniclers’ (some virtual, some in person). Most of the time I don’t have to leave home to do my work—other than when leading special groups, retreats or speaking engagements. I do travel regularly for work, but sometimes take the family with me to make it more fun. I just talk to one client or group per day. No more. Hmmm…money and work I love, it doesn’t get better than that.

Jay and other baby then come home/back and I take a walk with them around the grounds of our home or go out into Llewellyn Park. I hug and kiss them and still hold hands with them when we walk along. We talk about our days and re-connect after a day apart. I am astounded by their brilliance, goodness, happiness, and beauty more every day. We come home and have a snack. The kids go off for schoolwork and play and I am around to help and engage as needed.

Chris comes home and we hold each other for 10 minutes alone when he comes in.  Soon after we have dinner together as a family—talking more about our days, current events and re-connecting after a day apart. After dinner we watch TV or a movie or play a game or read and listen to music, more time together as a family. Kids to bed. Chris and me to bed—talk, re-connect as a couple, make love, and to sleep early right after I say thank you for all this. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! I don’t clean anything and don’t cook anything I don’t want to.

During my day I don’t shop much or go to many places. I like the serenity at home, but when I do go out I drive my CLK550 white on cream drop top or my baby blue on cream S550, sometimes I drive the truck if the weather is messy.

I have the help I need to live the balanced life I want. I feel happy because I’m doing work and raising a family and caring for myself in a way that makes total sense to me. I am able to participate and support my sangha so my spirit is supported as well.  I am able to support my family in a style they very easily became accustomed to and am happy to be able to give to them. It’s fun treating my parents and kids and even Chris (I’m over the resentment from those early years—what a waste!).

I also get to continue to make new inventions that help people live better and happier lives. I love the creativity of inventing. It’s FUN! I am always forced to stretch myself and I LOVE that. I am never frowning or scorning or resenting or beast of burdening. I am loving and joyful and giving and receiving.

So what would your ideal typical day look like?

Meaning… you become the "rock star" version of yourself,…  you make the kind of money you wanna make… have the kind of freedom you wanna have… and you’re able to live your "ideal"  typical days on a day to day basis… what would these days look like.. what kind of experiences would you have?

Here are some things to think about that might help…

Where would you live?

When would you wake up?

What would you do right when you woke up?

What kind of work would you engage in?

What would your attitude about that work be?

What would your customers and/or clients be like?

What would you drive?

What would you do at lunch?

After work?

At night?

How would you feel?

What would you think about?

What sort of experiences would you have?

What would your purpose be?

What kind of people would you have in your life?

What would you do right before falling asleep?

What EXACTLY would your ideal "typical" day look like?

One year anniversary

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

So I have trained with my trainer, Dwayne McDaniel for one full year now. Happy anniversary to us! I have moved from a size 20 to a size 10 and am onto a size 8 for my next goal.  You can see the latest jeans try on (I bought a pair of size 8s) on my website. www.size10chronicles.com under the Video podcast. They went right up but don’t close yet. I am so surprised, being a long term plus sized person, that at size 10 going on 8 I can still have body fat…seemed impossible to me a year ago that that would be the case, but I’ve really gotten to know my body over this year and for that I’m the most grateful.
