Give me my routine back dam*it!
So I’ve been off routine for 2 weeks. Sick with the flu (fever and the whole bit) for like 8 days then traveling to CA again for work and family vaca. The last time I traveled I did super great in terms of fitness and eating. This time less so. The workout thing has disappeared partly because I’m still tired from being so sick, partly because this damned hotel charges $15 to use their gym (and the internet is not free either…but I can get my job to pay for the internet at least!), and partly because my 3 year old is here with me and I don’t want to leave him alone. I have been walking some with him, but a 3 year olds pace (even one the size of a 5 year old) is not exactly cardio!I have done a few warm up body weight exercises in the room, but no full workouts. I miss it.
The food has been up and down too. I’ve been eating carbs daily, which is normally not my thing at all. I drop carbs where I can, but not like at home. Eating out every meal is tough. I’m bloated like a balloon. Ugh! I don’t feel like I’m overeating really, just taking in the wrong things. Yuck! Finally last night I just got fed up and went to a nearby GNC and bought 4 Lean Body’s. I’m like, I’m not eating any more carbs! At least I want to give myself a chance to have something I like. So it’s a Lean Body while I sit here writing this, instead of leftover pizza (from one of my favorite pizza places when I was a kid). Ahhh. That’s better.
I’m just thinking of these two weeks as a brief bulking stage!
I know when I get home and cut my carbs a lot of this water will drop off and any fat I’ve gained in the last two weeks will be taken care of soon too! I know I can’t gain back 65 pounds in 2 weeks, so I’m not really worried.
Flying home tomorrow. Thank goodness! Back to it.

Flu is no joke this season. It took awhile for it to totally let me go. Hang in there, you’ll be back on it soon!

Thanks. I trust in training and can’t wait to get back to it!

It is really difficult to stick to good eating when you’re not feeling well. Look after yourself, get better and then get back on the bandwagon! You can do it!

I bloat up like a puffer fish with some carbs, any grains at all I can bloat up 5lbs automatically, so I sympathize.
