A Nice Change
Well, since my last competition back in October, I decided it was time to change my workouts a bit. I switched over to more crossfit type workouts. So far I’m really enjoying the huuuuge difference in my workouts. Just for fun the other day I copied a workout my gym owner did. It went something like this:
100 bodyweight squats
100 pushups
100 Pullups
100 crunches
to say I was sore the next day is an understatement. It was really a cool workout. During my pushups, towards the end, it was literally 2-3 - muscle failure. 2-3 muscle failure. The bodyweight squats were kinda easy but my legs are still talking to me today. As far as the pullups go - I did them on a weight assist machine.
All and all, very challenging; I enjoyed that and I’ll probably try it again in a couple of weeks to see if there’s any improvement. A few people told me that it was more or less a stupid workout and I’ve nothing to gain from it.
Yeah, well, whatever. Everyone’s different. So anyway, if you want something different, challenging AND get in a good workout give this a try.

I did CrossFit bootcamp for four weeks and I have never worked so hard in my life. CrossFit seriously rocks! It’s a great way to shock your body out of your regular routine.
Have fun!

Every like 6 months I change my routine to series of 100 reps for every body part but spliting every body part in say, 4 days. So one day could look like this:
Back: Pullups 100 reps (assisted of course) + Pulley row 100 reps
Triceps: Extensions 100 reps + dips 100 reps.
That`s it, that`s the workout, 2 series per bodypart, but so intense that only people who actually do it like you can understand how intense this is.
The benefits? you grow, you also burn fat while weight training, which is not common.
Just one word of caution though: make sure you warm up very very well, strecht also a lot. This puts a very hard load on your muscles but also on your joints, so be careful not to hurt yourself (this routine gave me a severe shoulder tendinitis once, but there`s no reason to feel afraid, just take your precautions)
Keep the good work!
