8 weeks out

Ok it’s here, 8 weeks out.  I am totally pumped up for this one, since I can see a lot of changes and size since the last contest.  My bodyfat has dropped, and I am ready to roll.  It looks like I am going to consume little to no carbs this prep, but it doesn’t really affect me.  I am kinda like the energizer bunny….and only my moods really swing.  4 weeks out I get a lil grumpy,…..but as of right now I feel great. For any of you getting ready for a show and are near los angeles, may I suggest Mandy Blank.  She is the best.  She has been one of my best friends for years, and I let her finally get me into competing.  She is there for me every step of the way, even when I am having a lil down day……..I couldn’t do this without her.  Plus she is so right on with the diets it is crazy.  she can change my body in days…………amazing I tell ya.

 

Ok diet goes like this for this week

Meal 1…….3 oz turkey, 3 egg whites, 1 rice cake, 1 tbs P.B.

Meal 2…….5 oz steak, spinach, 1 cup melon

Meal 3……5 oz salmon, greens

Meal 4……2 scoops Ultimate Muscle Protein (Beverly International), 1 tbs P.B.

Meal 5……5 oz chicken, 1 apple, romaine

 

And training splits go like this

Mon…..back/delts, abs, calves, 1 hr cardio AM, 1/2 hr cardio P.M

Tues….chest, abs calves,…..same cardio

Wed…..legs, glutes, abs, calves.,……..same cardio

thursday……bis/tris, abs…….same cardio

Friday……back, shoulders…….same cardio…..and abbers of course

Saturday……….legs, abs…………..same cardio

Sunday……just cardio and abs

 

Yeah I know overtraining….blah blah blah……………trust me on this, and mandy……with having no thyroid, I need to, just to be any competition for the other chicks.  Wish me luck and energy people.  I need it.

9 weeks out

ok today I’m officially 9 weeks out.  I am totally pumped but still a lil nervous this time.  I really bulked last time, and am just doubtful I will be able to cut it in time.  I am assured I am overreacting and crazy, but still I don’t know.  I put on a good 27 punds since last show….and let’s be honest, a good portion of that is fat.  Yes I did put on a lot more size for this show, but taking off the fat for me is harder than most girls.  Unfortunately I was born without a thyroid….so I have to diet and train harder than most people.  Sucks, but worth the hard work.

ok today was leg day and it went like this

 

hack squats with 45’s on each side……..6,6,15,20

supersetted with

leg press with 360….6,6,20,20

 *

narrow stance squat….smith machine……..100………6,6,20

supersetted with

smith machine lunges…..100…….6,6,20

*

leg curls……..90…..6,10,20

supersetted with

leg extensions  with 120…….6,10,20

 

walking lunges till I died with 60lb, barbell

innies, outies, abs, hypers, butt blasters, calves (the usual, I do these everyday)

 

then I did 1 hour of cardio and abs first thing in the morning on the stairmill

and 30 min after leg workout …on the elliptical

 

 

Before you all say it, yes I overtrain…but I have to, trust me

 

Diet goes like this

Meal 1…3 egg whites, 1 yolk, 3 oz steak, 1/2 a grapefruit

Meal 2….1 can tuna, 1 rice cake, 1 tbs P.B.

Meal 3…..5 oz chicken, 1 apple

Meal 4….2 scoops protein powder, 1 tsp. P.B.

Meal 5….5 oz steak, 1/2 grapefruit, veggies

2 gallons of h20

Ok today is my first blog.  I am 11 weeks out from the Tournament of Champions….and boy do I have a lot of work to do.  I kinda took bulking to heart during the last 10 weeks…and I put on some size….both good and bad.  Oh well….in my eyes it is what had to be done.  Anyways today is day 1 of really dieting down.  I did my hour of cardio this morning, and actually liked it.  I did a run for 45 minutes which I never would ever do, but I am feeling like adding it into my program this time….followed up by 15 on the stairmill doing backkicks….plus abd and calves to finish it all off. 

 Than back to the gym for some shoulders.  I already hit shoulders on Monday, but I am trying to do them twice every week…since it is really my goal to make them stand out this time.  Anyways I lifted pretty heavy and felt pretty good.

 Ddin’t write in my training journal what my workout was, so I will start to include that later.

 

Nutrition is:  Meal 1………………….3 oz steak, 3 egg whites, 1 yolk, 1/2 grapefruit

                   Meal 2…………………1 can of tuna, 1 rice cake, 1 tbs. P.B.

                    Meal 3………………..5 oz chick, steamed broccolli

                    Meal 4………………..2 scoops bev international protein powder, 1 tsp P.B., water

                    Meal 5………………..5 oz steak, steamed veggies, 1/2 grapefruit

 

Yum Yum!!!  Still hungry…………………….only 10 weeks 6 days to go……………………..I’ll tell you how I feel tomorrow
