I was right. I had more energy going into todays work-out. The weekend was good for lifting my overall attitude toward working out. Even though I took yesterday off I still was active and surrounded myself with very positive, supporting people. I had a minor personal… ummmm…. well, a puzzle that makes you go hmmmmmm, I don’t get it. But it was just that, nothing to keep the positive energy down. Today was core day. Yoga, crunches with and without a medicine ball and plate. Superman and balance drills. I’m going to be sore but hopefully my supplements will help recovery. Ciao!

I took off late Saturday to Santa Cruz with a friend. Met a few other friends there and had a fantastic time. I promised myself I’d have a down day and enjoy a few cocktails, naughty foods and stuff I shouldn’t do. I actually did some of that but I also had a ton of energy. I wound up taking a long walk in the sand last night which was gorgeous. Ended at a beach bon fire and slept like an angel. Woke earlier than normal feeling great. Hit the beach boardwalk for a bike ride then spent the rest of the day swimming and skim boarding. I think I got more of a work-out than I thought I would. It’s great because my body craved healthy foods, so I listened and kept it fueled with good stuff. I feel great! Looking forward to my photo shoot this coming weekend. I’m not looking forward to returning the calls from my agent.. he’s a bit of a pain but I can deal with him. Love weekends like that. They set the week up with positive energy! Here’s to a disciplined, focused and new week ahead!

Today had to be one of my best work-out days in a long time. I started with a swim, approximately 1000 meters. Then I met with a friend who happens to be a talent agent and fitness modeling agent and received a few ideas, tips… Hit the bike for about 25 miles then was coaxed into an ab workout by my best friend, coworker and part-time pro-surfer (she’s a great inspiration and even better friend). That was a killer but I made it through and actually won a mini bet with her. So now it’s off to the beach to have some me time and fun for the rest of the weekend. Hey, all work and no play is no fun!!

I shouldn’t say I’m a newbie. I lifted in college and some while married but for the last three years I have been focused on yoga and not resistance work. So it wasn’t all that new, just a bit of a refresher. I told my trainer to treat me like a newbie!

I learned a lot about technique, mainly that I need work on mine. The first session with this trainer was wonderful. He was very understanding that I’m a newbie but have the desire. We worked upper body and abs but only used light weights with focus on technique. I can feel the blood flowing through my body in a way that makes me feel good. This is going to be a great investment in time and money.

Starting the day with something, anything to get the blood flowing sets the stage for the rest of the day. I’m committed to that thought. Today I woke and went for a long swim followed by yoga. It put my mind in a great place ready for the day. I’m going through something of a change so discipline to this process is going to be important. Later today I plan on lifting with my new personal trainer. He comes with good recommendations so let’s hope it goes as I hope. I’ve planned a photo shoot for the 6th - 8th so I want to be ready. Depending on how they come out I will post some and use them professionally.
So far on this site I’ve met some beautiful, sexy people. Some could become friends. Looks like a good start!!

What a gorgeous morning. I’m a yoga practitioner and getting up early for a session is a great way to start the day. Today is one of those days where I woke with the sun and started the day with some yoga and light weights. This afternoon I plan on biking and possibly a hike around the local trails. It looks like it’s going to be a gorgeous day!!!!
