CRAZY Busy and Still KILLING it!

I’ve been so busy lately I don’t know where to start. First and foremost I am in the middle of moving. Last weekend and all last week I ran around looking for a new place and I finally found something and signed all the paper work and even got my keys on Friday night. So as far as finding a place I’m all squared away. I also had a parent/teacher conference on Friday, my son is doing great in school way above grade level on his math and reading so I’m super stoked about that. :) The only thing he needs to work on is his talking. That was no surprise to me, but at least he waits till after he is done with his work to do it ;) HAHA! Yes he is my child! Oh and my poor little monkey wasn’t feeling well later that evening and threw up all over my car. I don’t know what caused it but thankfully he was fine the next day. The whole weekend was packing and taking stuff over to the new place and running errands. Now I’m trying to get myself back into school in the spring so I can take the 2 classes I need to transfer. Some how I graduated and missed 2 classes required for transfering go figure…??? Through all this I have stuck to the carb cycle diet with only minimal slip ups nothing to even worry about and I have hit the gym for every workout and killed it! Show Time is no joke all super set with HIIT in between each body part. Every week one part of the set gets heavier and the second half the reps higher. I was breezing through it for the first 2 weeks and then wekk 3 hit me like a ton of bricks i’m dying and sweating my a$$ off by the second round of HIIT each workout but I made it through the week. I started week 4 yesterday and OMG!!!! I’m going heavier than ever & higher reps than ever. I only made it through chest and shoulders and 2 rounds of HIIT and decided to save tris for today with legs. Wish me luck cause I really think I’m going to need it. If you find me passed out on the floor call 911! LOL Thank goodness for white flood! I must kill this week and give it my all even with all there is to do! Until the next time KEEP PUSHING!

New pics are up I can not believe how much I’ve changed….I didn’t even realize how fat I was when I first started. Still have a lot of work to do but damn I stuck with it for one year never gave up never lost my motivation just kept pushing and being hungry to get more results! WOOT! It was hard for me when I started last Nov. cause I was in school getting ready for finals and graduation not to mention the holidays so it was a slow process till Jan but I never gave up! So lets see what happens from now till Jan when I get to do a whole new set of side by side to compare from a yr ago! KEEP PUSHING PEOPLE NEVER GIVE UP!

Show Time week 1 overview

Show Time is really kicking my butt. I totally do not feel soft any more. My eating was damn near perfect with a very slight cheat on halloween. I did mess up a bit on the 1st week of workouts becuase I ended up taking 2 day off during the week. 1 for being super busy and then Thurs I was just totally exhausted. So to make up for it I split my back/bi day and did back/chest/shoulders/tir on Friday it was a monster workout and thankfully I got my white flood which is AWESOME! It gave me a ton of energy, super pumps, and focus. No cracky feeling at all. I totally recommend it. The flavor is not the best I’ve ever had for an N.O. product but it wasn’t the worst. Saturday I did bi/legs and then skipped my last back/bi day of the week on Sun and just did abs/cardio. I’m not too worried about it since I tend to see the most results in those body parts first. I’ve decided to make my day off during the week since I tend to have more time on the weekends to focus on my workouts and I always get busy with school stuff for my son during the week. I took yesterday off which was much needed since the time change threw me off. Tomorrow is offically 1 year for me here on bb. I’m taking new pics to compare to my very first progress pics, and new measurements. I’m a little sad that I didn’t hit the 150s yet but I had my body fat taken again and it went down almost a whole % in 1 week. So some results are better than none. Tonight I start week #2 of Show Time and there is a change in reps and HIIT so here we go! Diet has been great so ar I need to make sure to get in a little more water and I’m set. :) Happy lifting fellow bb friends!

I tried a sample of the VPX N.O. Shotgun…all I have to say is OMG CRACK!!!! I love using a pre-workout drink but this one was over kill, at least for me. It gave me good pumps, I seriously dont think I went heavy enough even though I went heavier each set. The crackness was so overwhelming though, it was more energy than I used. I didn’t make it to the gym till about 10 but better late than not at all, and there was no way I was going to miss again since I took the day before off. I must say I totally rocked my legs though. I even got through all of the HIIT no problem. Tonight I have back/bi and after I need to cook up some more lemon, garlic, onion and jalapeno chicken. My diet has been going so well, so hopefully 150’s by the weekend…I’m keeping my fingers and my toes crossed. ;)  

Show Time Day #1

Mondays workout kicked my a$$ no joke! It was my first day doing the show time workout chest/tri/shoulders. EVERYTHING is done in supersets with HIIT thrown in between each body part. By the time I got to the last 14 min of HIIT I was dying, I really had to push throug hthe last few min. I sweat my a$$ off! I ended up switching my rest day to yesterday cause I got busy with stuff at home so my workouts will be pushed back a day. Carb cycling is going good and I think I have finally kicked my sugar cravings. I’m following the diet to a tee and keeping my fingers crossed that it will show when I get on the scale this weekend. It will officially be my 1 year weigh in and pics from when I put my very first stats and progress pics up. I know I wasn’t 100% on the diet and gym routine till Jan due to the holidays and finals at school, but it will be nice to see how far I’ve come. Kinda scary and exciting all at the same time. Tonight is Legs for me show time style and on a no carb day so wish me luck!  

Killer Legs

I’m back at it full force. Saturday I did legs and actually got to work them with a decent amount of weight. After no workouts for a little over a week all I can say is OMG MY LEGS ARE SO SORE! I’m hobbling up and down the stairs, it hurts to sit even. Is it sick of me to actually be happy about this? LOL Sun I stuck to cardio only again…sorry I just couldn’t take the whole day off. Today I reordered my supps and threw in some white flood and ZMA. I hear its good for rebuilding muscles and helps you sleep which I dont get much of so it can’t hurt to try it. I’m feeling a bit GRRR today and I can’t wait to get to the gym and work it all out. I start the 4 week "show time" workout I’m super excited about that I hear it’s killer and I’m hoping for good results. I also changed my diet as of today I’m carb cycling for the next 4 weeks. I’ve got chest/tri/shoulders tonight with a crazy twist on the HITT thrown in the mix. WOOOSAAAAA!!!! Here is to the power being mine again ;) Kudos to you my soul sista! 

Last day of going light

Woo! You have no idea how happy I am. Today is officially my last day of having to lift light. Tomorrow I can go up in weight and on my favorite day of all LEGS! Today I’m sticking to cardio only. Last night I did arms. It was nice to see my arms get all pumped up like they use to even with only 15# for db curls. Diet was great yesterday and I made it a point to get in all of my water. Monday I start the Show Time routine and a carb cycle for 4 weeks. I’m throwing in A.M or early afternoon cardio at least 3x a week to up my cardio. I need to get this softness off of me 1 week does make a difference and I dont like it! I have a lot going on over the next month so I need to stay organized and focused so that nothing gets in the way of my gym time. So far it should all go smoothly. I’m very excited about everything that is going on and will give more details as things get closer but lets just say life and change are GREAT! :)

Chest

Boy oh boy am I sore today. My Back is sore from Tues and with each passing minute my chest it getting there. It feels sooo good LOL ;) I almost forgot what it’s like to have at least one part of my body sore at all times. Last night I did my chest and followed up with 20min of HIIT. I need to up my cardio so I think I’m going to try and get in 2 session a day at least 3x a week.  My eating was very clean yesterday. Tonight I’m doing arms and then tomorrow is all cardio which leaves legs for Sat which I am officially done with light lifting so I can actually kill my legs. I need a good hard heavy work out! Monday I’m starting a new 4 week program called Show Time that one of the lovley ladies here on bb gave me. I hope I get good results with it. I’m keeping my fingers crossed! :) I just found out I have to get myself into a formal dress in about 3 weeks for a black tie event. So I have somethng to aim for.

2 Days In

Well I’m finally back in the gym. No more rest. Monday was a bit hectic and by the time was able to go to the gym it was almost 10pm. Not to mention that since it’s been a week since I worked out and being so late it took a bit to get the ball rolling, I seriously wants to say screw it and wiat till Tues. I didn’t though! I sucked it up and pushed myself and now I have my momentum back. Thank god I have some dumbells and a treadmill at home. I did a shoulder work out and then hopped on the treadmill for a 30 min hill climb. Diet has been great I need to up my water a tiny bit thought I’ve been so thirsty. Tuesday I actually went to the gym and worked my back and followed up with 20 min of elliptical HIIT. I also weighed myself yesterday to see how much damage was done over the week and I’m only up .8 lbs. So that not too bad I was expecting way worse since I was feeling so soft, squishy and bloated! It feels soo good to be back at it and I can not wait till next week when I can go full force and lift heavier. I can lift this week but I have to keep it kind of light and easy my body back into it. Light lifting is better than no lifting. I think the week off actually helped my shoulder cause it felt great on Mon. Tonight is Chest for me eating is on point again and I’m already 1.5L into my water. :)

Ok this weekend was a lot of fun. Saturday I rolled out to San Diego with some people from my gym to check out the NPC Border State Classic. It was super motivationg. I took a tons of mental notes of what your body needs to look like to place in the figure catagory, and I got really good at picking out the winners as soon as they walked out on stage. So here is what I noted: 1. you need to have a butt the flat booty girls just didn’t place as high as the girls with some junk in their trunk lol. 2. Posing is everything cause even if you don’t have a butt with good posing you can fake it. 3. You need good size muscles not too big where you start looking like you could be in the bodybuilding catagory and not to small. 4. You need to have good defination and seperation of your muscles. Again these are all mental notes that I was making so who knows I could be way off. I also got to go back stage and Meet Ms. Hwy2hottie who was working the show. She is a super nice cool laid back chick who shared a lot of her wisdom to help me get where I want to go with my fitness level. Mucho props and thanks to her! I also had a cheat meal on Sat a cheese burger and garlic fries it was soo good that now I’m craving garlic fries. I’m thinking of trying to make a twist of it with my baked sweet potatoe wedges, who knows it might be good. If not I’ll add it to my list of food for a cheat day. I am super excited to finally get back into the gym today. I’ve been moping around all super bummed out cause I’ve been out of the gym for a week letting my body rest…Dr’s orders. I seriously feel soft and squishy now. Back to 100% clean eating I’m going to cut my cheat meals donw to once a month maybe even once every 6 weeks. I promised myself to do this with 110% effort, so that’s what I’m gonna do! I’m gonna hit my back tonight and follow up with cardio. Woo hoo! So far my diet has been on point. Happy lifting today! :)
