I started BFL on Dec 22, 2008 and I am down 28 lbs, no loss of muscle and dropped BF % from 28 % to 15%. It provides a very good easy to follow structure for getting going.
They will work. Anything will. It’s just a matter of what your goals are. They are good for someone just starting out, to give them basic knowledge of cardio, weight training and diet.
I just saw your response. Doing it as a group will definitely help with the consistency and accountability. Consistency is the main component of any workout/fitness program; which also includes diet.

there are three of us that are wanting to do it and i think this would provide consistancy and accountability on all parts
