Both my wife (bodyspace: judimax) and I achieved body transformations by following the Body for Life program.
Judimax went from a size 12/14 to a 4/6 in 12 weeks and I lost over 50 lbs and went from over 36 to approx. 10% bodyfat.
Tips: I recommend that you follow their eating program even though it has you eating a lot, it really does work. Also, make sure to lift weights before you do your cardio or do cardio on its own separate day. They have found that you burn way more calories and fat by doing cardio right after weight lifting than either before lifting or on its own separate day.
Body for Life wants you to buy and use their supplements as that is how they make their money but you can choose to use all, any or none if you want. There is nothing wrong with EAS (Body for Life’s parent company) supplements but you can find others if you choose but don’t go nuts on supplements, it really is your hard work that will cause your body to change and supplements are not magic pills and they will only assist you, but once again I stress, it is you that needs to be working hard.
I was a bit skeptical at first but once I started eating their way and with the foods that they recommend I began feeling more energetic and upbeat. Weightlifting their way can be difficult at times but it is really worth it and along with doing their high intensity cardio I soon began to see my weight dropping and in a while I even saw the beginning of stomach muscles.
You can see both on their website and in their books all the people who have made body transformations so you know it does work but you do have to stick with it for the full twelve weeks and most of all, believe in yourself.
No matter what program you are following or what kinds of foods are recommended, ultimately it all comes down to you. You are the one that will lift the weights; you are the one who will push yourself through your cardio and you are the one who will choose to either make the effort or not.
If you have any other questions, or if there is anything that I can do to be of assistance don’t hesitate to get in touch.
