5/18 update

It’s been a rough month of May… I’ve had my ups and downs with food, birthdays, anniversary.  But I don’t think it hurt me, especially this far out (still 5+months to go till my shows).  My weight has been steady, body fat slowly going downward, and workouts are still strong.  If I get the guts, I may post progress pics… we’ll see ;)

Hi all… It’s been a good strength week this week.  Carbs have been doin me good dis week, as I’ve been hittin PR’s all week.. 50lb DB Preacher curls for 4 reps!!!  120lb Bench Press for 8 reps!!!  I feel great!  Next week starts fat loss/no carbs… the rotation begins once more.. UGH!!

I’m definitely much leaner… so it’s working!  I WILL be SHREDDED!!! :)

Week of 4/9

April 9, 2007

I start Week "C" this week.  It’s a mix of strength and fat burning training, with moderate carbs (2 out of 6 meals with carbs).  Yea, it sucks, but it’s better than no carbs at all! LOL!  The training goes quick.  I didn’t think my legs would be sore from yesterday’s leg workout.. but they’re tender.  I DID enjoy some holiday food yesterday too…. feelin the after effects today and ready to get back at it!

I started week "B" of my new plan - Fat Burning Week.  I must say it really kicked my butt yesterday … no carbs and killer circuit workout.  I was tapped out and napping by late afternoon (I never nap).  I’ll be happy when this week is over!  I hate not having carbs!

Week of 3/26

March 27, 2007

I start a new plan this week.  It’s a rotating plan which starts with Strength week (lots more carbs!), then fat burning week (hardly any carbs), then a combo of the two for week 3.  So far, strength week is GREAT!  I’ m lovin these carbs and I feel strong as hell!  I even broke my personal best last night .. 65lb DB Flat Presses for 6 reps!  It felt great too!

I’m still here.. still stayin strong.  My workouts are pretty much the same as last week, same weight, same reps.  My diet is spot-on and cardio has been high intensity.  It’s been a good start to the week and I plan to continue to bring it the rest of the way.  Only 32 weeks til Yorton Cup 2007!!    I really need to keep my diet spot-on to lose these 20 pounds!

I am so sore today… my entire backside from the top of my back to my calves is just aching!  Must be these kick-ass workouts!

Weight x Sets x Reps
Rev. Grip Barbell Rows - 95 x 6 x 8, then 65 x 1 x 20 (couldve gone heavier, never did these before)
Med Grip Pulldowns - 160 x 6 x 6, then 120 x 1 x 20
Deadlifts - 140 x 6 x 6, then 95 x 1 x 30
Barbell Curls - 75 x 6 x 6
DB Preacher curls - 35 x 6 x 6

Smith Lunges - 160 x 6 x 6, then 90 x 1 x 20 (i think I strained a hammy here)
Wide Stance Squats - 200 x 6 x 6, then 90 x 1 x 50
SLDL  - 175 x 6 x 6
Seated Leg Curls - 120 x 4 x 6

My arse is really feelin it today!

Incline Bench - 130# x 6 x 6, 80# x 1 x 30
DB Flat - 50’s x 6 x 8, 40’s x 1 x 20
DB Bent Laterals - 30’s x 4 x 8
High Pulls - 60# x 4 x 6
Pressdowns s/s w Dips - 100# pdowns x 4 x 10, ss with bw dips
