Excuses! Excuses! Here’s mine…
You know what’s borderline painful? Logging into Bodyspace for the first time in 8 months or so and seeing all the hot bods flood the front page while you sit alone on your couch eating Oreo Cakesters. God, where did my motivation go! A year ago, I was busting my butt in the gym at this time of day … still eating Oreos, but at least I was burning them off! Well, here’s my line of excuses. I’m good at excuses. And I can fully see where excuses get me — feeling like crap, and full of flab.
1) I moved. I never realized that finding a gym in an area that I’m completely unfamiliar with would be SO difficult. Before I ended up here, I had been going to the same local gym for six years. I knew pretty much everyone who ever walked in that door. I felt comfortable. I don’t anymore. I have a lot of equipment in my basement though. I’m going to try my hardest to use that first. If that fails, I’ll force myself into a gym again.
2) New job. I’m proud to be an Under Paid Slave! Yep, you got it — UPS. There’s just about as much positive as there is negative to this part. If it wasn’t for UPS, I’d be 50+ pounds heavier. After unloading semi trailers for five hours straight daily… the last thing I want to do is go to a gym and workout some more. Actually, I just want to come home and eat. My diet is beyond HORRIBLE! On a brighter note, my arms are stronger now than they’ve ever been, but my lower body isn’t keeping up!
3) Kids. No explanation needed.
4) Food. It tastes good. Really good.
Those are my excuses for gaining weight back, but guess what? I’m back and I’m staying here! I have one favor to ask though. I don’t know you, but would you please just send me a crude message daily telling me to get off my fat ass and go work out!? Thanks. Much appreciation.
I’ll be putting up progress pictures soon as well. That’s about the only way I’m going to stay motivated and do this right.

Hey, get your #@%$& to the gym! Drop down now & give me 50!
How’s that?
You’re back it. That’s Step 1. Getting more focus on that diet will be Step 2. You can do it. Just remember you don’t have to set the world on fire every single day with killer insane workouts & perfect diet (as if!). Just remember to be consistent and NEVER STOP. Good luck.
