I know I should be happy for ANY amount of loss as I have been stuck but is it reasonable to kinda plan on 2 1/2 pounds/week?

A healthy, maintainable amount would be to aim for 1-1.5 lbs per week. You can lose more rapidly initailly, but this will be a lot of water. Start trying to lose a lot more than that and you could be setting yourself up for problems down the line, losing muscle and slowing your metabolism down where it will hinder future results. Just my opion! Hope that helps. Good luck!

I agree with Miyagi23, everything I have read that makes any sense has said that 1-1.5 per week is the safest way to reduce weight without eating all you muscle. If you were extremely obese you could go with more safely, but thats not the case. Stick to no more than 1.5/week. God Bless. Brian
