can someone advise me on my diet??

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

Its been almost 6 months and I have only lost 20 pounds but have noticed alot of firming and muscles tone so I try not to get hung up. I definitely have the gym thing down-I added strength training 3-5 d/ week and about 5-7 days of cardio.(If anything I have exercised TOO uch and have had to cut back, for example I was working in the cardio zone up until the last week or so when I learned I need to slow down in order to be in the fat burning zone!!So, I guess I was working soo hard for like the last 6 months I was burning carbs instead of fat and then I would eat carbs and defeat all that hard work I just did. It wasnt useless though, my cardio endurance is HIGH!

odels diets it amazes me how little they eat. You know the 6 small meals like 6 egg whites and 1/2 cup of oatmeal for breakfast, etc…I just dont know if I can do that? on the other hand, I know I am stalling or greatly slowing my progress.

My idea of a good breakfast is a slice of wheat toast with orange marmelade and a veggie omelet (egg whites) and a cup of tea with milk and sugar. Is that terrible? will 2 little packets of sugar have a negative effect?

For lunch -I work at a hospital and they always have a salad bar so usually salad and maybe a cup of soup-usually like 1/2 cup of chicken salad along with that.

Then for dinner I eat what Ive always made only smaller portions-last night I made lasagna and had one small serving . I do try to make alot of skinless boneless chicken breasts -baked or grilled-along with a vegetable and either a potato or rice. ( eat only one serving).

Starting today I will keep a food journal- Im tired ofnot getting more results-Im working REALLY hard at the gym -Im addicted to it actually but the diet needs help…any advice is appreciated. Thanks
