No one ever said it’d be easy…

well I’ve been soo busy (aren’t we all?) and haven’t invested the time at the gym like Ishould have but AT LEAST I havent gained anything. This morning Im 188. I definitely have to get my butt in gear in order to lose that 2 pouds a week by my birthday.Thats a tricky goal, though cuz it really could set me up to fail-so far it hasnt exactly helped. But, I am going to keep going forward. What I do like about this is the fact that I havent deprived myself of anything -finally I learned that diet=deprivation which leads to (for me) failure. So, now its about food quality and portion control. I never deprive myself-but I wont be ruled by food either. There will be some days better than others but overall I will never go back to the sad state I was at before  committed to improve my health.

Gues what!? I ordered a size MEDIUM bikini from Victoria’s Secret yesterday. It was on sale and I loved it so I bought it in a medium so I can wear it once I reach my goal. Im going to do something really special which will involve staying at a nice hotel with a pool so I can enjoy my results!I cant wait for my husband to be able to look at me with the same pride and admiration that he had on our wedding day. Although he tells me Im beautiful no matter what I weigh-love is blind, I guess!Im lucky to have a man like him and soon he will be lucky to have me too

About that 2 lb/week goal…

I wrote down my goal ‘to lose 2 lb/week for the next 26 weeks’ (in order to lose the weight by my b’day) but then right after I was ‘challenged’ by having to deal with a fibromyalgia flare up. It began on Monday and knocked me on my a@*! So, needless to say I avoided the gym until Friday and my diet got alittle sloppy, too BUT now Im feeling much better-though not 100%.  SOOOO..the 2 pound thing oFFICIALLY STARTS NOW. On Sundays I will weigh in. To make things easy I will aim for 185 next Sunday March 11. This is despite the fact that I really didnt want to get obsessed with the scale.SO, even though I will take this seriously I will not get discouraged if it doesnt work out, as long as my body and health continue to improve. So, I will definitely be writing back on Sundays to check in and in the meantime really clean up my food choices and drink more water.
