And so it begins………………….
Just got back from a week in Ft Myers Beach and had a great time. Ate some great seafood every night and not to mention some great drinks….all day long, well, mostly. One entire case of green apple smirnoff ice, one bottle of wine and 2 1/2 jugs of Cuervo margaritas and cocktails with dinner every night, (yes, that’s all me baby!) I’m happy to say, I can still button my shorts and fit fine into my clothes =) Although my husband and I stuck to our usual training split all week, I did hardly NO cardio except for 15 easy minutes on a machine and 3 walks on the beach. That is so out of the norm for me, no cardio. Ok Ok so I know my last show of ‘09 was in April, I’ve been messing around with my training and diet eversince. I’ve had a ton of stomach issues which have left me nautious, bloated and not able to give 100% all the time, which it sucked. I was finally diagnosed with Celiac Disease, so I need to watch what I eat now more than ever, or I’ll feel pain again. Anyway, after 2 months or so of wasting time (thats how I see it) I’m ready to give it all I’ve got in and out of the gym to prepare for my 2010 season. I’ve had enough rest, slacked on the diet and drank more alcohol in one week that I have in the past 2 years (for real) It’s GAME ON as of this morning. Got back form FL Saturday and headed to the gym first thing Sunday morning for 25 minutes of sprint intervals on the treadmill and 15 light on the bike. This a.m. I headed to the gym at 4am with my hubby to train Chest. I felt so energized and strong, I did 25 minutes on the elliptical after. 25 minutes seems like nothing compared to what I’ve been doing, but I guess I gotta keep it low to build that muscle. Pre workout: 1 scoop whey, Post: 2 scoops muscle milk light and just finished a nice breakfast, 1/2 cup oats, 3 egg whites, 1 whole, 2 ounce lean turkey YUM…….. I am commited to keeping this off season blog so I can be accountable and share all of my improvements in the gym……off to work. Tomorrow I’m looking forward to a great back training
