Thanksgiving week…..

It’s just another week for me, except I’m looking forward to getting some extra sleep and taking off a few days from work (thank god!).  Saw my coach yesterday, we didn’t make any changes in my diet that I strictly began November 1, we’ll be reassessing in 3 more weeks, then the changes come.  My diet has been great, I’ve not strayed once, except last Saturday when I went out for my 3 year anniversary.  I still didn’t blow it with grilled tilapia topped with crab and lobster and good ‘ole broccoli on the side……..YUM.  It was amazing….I’m even proud that I skipped the wine.  Anyway,  I’m down 1% body fat from 3 weeks ago so I’ll keep on plugging away.  Today was leg day one of two this week, box squats, split squats and walking lunges….fun shit.  Tomorrow’s my ‘rest’ day and Thursday we’ll head in from some shoulder work and cardio.  Oh yea, Friday’s my 10 year high school reunion….now that should be interesting!  But for Thanksgiving, hubby and I are staying home with our boxer, Bosco and having turkey breasts in the crockpot and we’ll just chill.  Thanksgiving for me was last month!

half way through the month

Training has been 100% since the first of the month, as well as diet.  I feel great and even feel as if I’ve gained some size???  No, maybe just leaned down slightly since diet has been 100% and I haven’t had any wine in a month maybe, I don’t know but I do know my mind is where it needs to be and I’m really in the game!

leg day number 2 is on its way

Week one is almost complete and I feel so amazing.  I feel more focussed and on track than ever before and can’t wait for the mornings to arrive so I can go to the gym and train.  Today:  delts.  db press, cable laterals, db rears on inlcine bench, cable uprights followed by a few light sets of lateral machine and finished with a few sets of chin.  Tomorrow:  leg day number two

here I go again

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

Contest prep officially began yesterday, with a slight change in both diet and training.  Yesterday was bicep and tricep with a few light sets of laterals at the end.  Today, fasted cardio (light).  10min warm up walking, 20 min stair climber, 15 min. tmill walk @ varied inclines 3.6/4.0mph.  I even came home and took my dog for a 30 min. hike in the woods!

  Tomorrow, instead of my usual monday training of chest, it’s now chest and back, with 20 min moderate cardio.  And of course, tuesday…..legs ….again!
