Ok, ready set go. Let the games begin, tomorrow is a new month and new competiton season for me. So I have to change up my routine a little bit, training legs twice a week now, with one day emphasising glutes on tuesday. I had a nice leg workout this morning, and looking forward to a good month ahead.

I’m feeling awesome already this morning after a great back work, I felt strong and had a ton of energy. Today I did assisted pullups, db row, pulldowns and hammer row machine, with a few set of light bi work, just db curls and 10 min run 15 min incline walk. I’m keeping the cardio light for now. Tomorrow’s my rest day!

I had an amazing training week last week, and looking forward to another good one. I meet with coach on Thursday and start contest diet Saturday (unless he wants me to wait a few more weeks…but let’s just get this party started). Date night at Bonefish was fabulous, not to mention the glass of sangria. Went to the gym this morning for some running sprints on the treadmill, then a little easy cardio on the stairclimber. Since I start prepping next weekend, I’ve been thinking of what I want as a little ‘treat’ friday night. A chocolate chip cookie??? No. Maybe a muffin from some bakery??? No. For the life of me I can’t think of what I want, but I’m sure it will come to me.

It has been here and gone already, a month early that is. Since I start prepping Nov. 1, my husband and I had our parents over and had an early thanksgiving. It was fun! I cooked a turkey in the oven and two turkey breasts in the crock along with steammed brocoli. My mom brought my favorite (sweet potato casserole) and wine! No one touched the desert I brought so that went in the trash the next mornng….however, I did drink the entire bottle of Reisling, along with two Smirnoff Ice Lights and then, we went out to a bar to listen to live music and had 2 amaretto sours there. It was a great time, dancing and drinking with my dad…………………………….woke up sunday morning feeling terrible and I still feel like I haven’t gotten rid of all the alcohol in my system and it’s thursday night. Ok, so I guess I went a little overboard but hey, what can I say? I was back on track the next day and having some kick ass workouts this week. This weekend, Josh and I are going out to dinner for the last time at Bonefish and needless to say there will be no more wine or alcohol until April or May. I had fun while it lasted and now it’s time to buckle down and remain focussed. There, I just confessed that I was a bad girl this past weekend.

Just got back from Sharon Woods hiking with my dog. It’s a rest day from the gym today so we hit the trails for 45 and had a great time. Resting all day today, prepping food for the week so I’ll be ready to hit it hard tomorrow morning now that I feel sooo much better!!!

this has been yet another crappy week, I’m still sick and I’m about to go crazy. I’ve had to ‘take it easy’ in the gym last week and here we go again. I had to take off completely yesterday and today. Hopefully I’ll be able to make it up tomorrow and this weekend. This is not good timing!!!

This past week, my workouts have been terrible, the beginning of the week I was fine, felt strong, but as the days went on, my sore throat turned into a cough and last night, I took some Niquil and was out from 8pm-6am! I got up, went to the gym for some cardio and could hardly run at a comfortable pace for 5 minutes. I got a ton of rest today and fueled up well, hopefully ready to take on this week. I was lucky enough last year not to be sick at all, even during contest prep, so now, I’m crossing my fingers counting down the days until I start my dieting. Let’s see, 3 more Sunday lunches at Panera with my husband, one more dinner at Bonefish and a very early Thanksgiving Oct. 18 with my in-laws and parents. Looking forward to sweet potato casserole and wine!!!
