Well, it is friday and this week has been such a blur. Working a strange schedule, still getting to the gym by 4:40 and getting in my workout and living on almost no sleep. But good news is that I am back to my normal schedule and ready to rock and roll. I started about three different challenges on Monday, so they should keep me motivated and hopefully get me into great shape by summer.

Today I just kind of winged it at the gym, no set workout routine. I will start back on monday with my set routine. I worked biceps, triceps, Glutes and abs. I feel like I got a pretty good workout in. On Monday I will turn it up a notch though. I need to go heavier if I want the muscles to pop through that I know are there somewhere. I also need to kick it up with my cardio. I will come up with new goals this weekend. I figure I should have weekly goals as well as long term goals, that way it will keep me motivated and I will get done what needs to be done.

I started a brand new routine yesterday, and will take some getting used to. I read the book New rules for lifting for woman, made since, so I decided to try it. I am used to working out with weights 5 days per week. This calls for only 3 full body days a week. On top of that, only about four to five exercises total. I am a little worried, but I will try it for a couple of weeks, and if I do not like it, I will go onto something else. Yesterday was day one, and workout A. I had to do more reps than I am used to as well, so had to lift lighter to get in all 15 reps. The workout took about 20-25 minutes, then did cardio for 20 minutes. I was in and out of the gym in less than an hour. I never get out in less than an hour.

Today was non weight day, so went to the gym and did 20 minutes of vigorous cardio and 15 minutes of ab work. Felt strange going to the gym, knowing that i was only going to be doing cardio. I guess if anything, I will find out if I have been overtraining. So, this is a start of a new journey. We will see how it goes.

Today was day two of the new routine. I think I had a pretty good workout. It was back, biceps and abs day. I tried some new techniques that Monica had put in her book, and they seemed to go pretty good. I really felt like I did something after this workout. I did my 20 minutes of cardio, and really pushed myself to make up for yesterday. I waked out of the gym feeling so much better than I did yesterday. Tomorrow is leg and glut day. That is always my favorite day, so it should go great.

Today I started a new workout plan. I think it went pretty good. I worked chest, shoulders, and triceps. I gave those areas a pretty good workout I do believe. I got this plan out of Monica Brants book. I think that it is going to be a nice change of pace. Cardio on the other hand, I felt that I should have pushed myself a little harder. I ate a protein bar before I went, and It kind of sat on my stomach wrong so I had a bit of a stomache ache, and just could not run. I did the interval routine that was on the treadmill, but walked away not feeling satisfied. Note to self: Eat protein bar AFTER workout from now on.

Today was leg day, and boy did I push myself. I worked my lower body harder than I have in a long time, felt great!!! In some of the sets I felt like crying the burn was so bad, so I know that I gave my legs a great workout today. I love to walk out of the gym and really feel like I accomplished something. I did interval on the old treadmill, next time I will have to incline it higher.

My new favorite workout cd: METALLICA DEATH MAGNETIC!!! Oh yeah baby that is an awesome workout companion. It helped keep me motivated and moving.

Tomorrow is recoup day. I do not plan on doing ANYTHING. I just got Monica Brants book, she has some awesome workouts in there, so I am going to start on routine number three on Monday. I think it will be worth it.

I did not make it to the gym yesterday. I was just so tired I could not get myself out of bed that early. So now I will have to workout on Saturday. You have to pay the price for laziness.

Today was arm day. Felt it went pretty well, ALTHOUGH again, I think that I need to push myself harder. I put in about 95 percent, and I know that i can put in 110 percent!!! So the goal for next week is to push myself harder than I have ever pushed myself. I know I pushed myself hard with the cardio once again. I tried out HIT, and it pretty much kicked my butt. It did make the session go by much quicker I must say.

So… Starting monday september 15, 2008 my challenge for myself will be to push myself at maximum, and not hold back. This is the only way that I am going to start seeing the results that I want to see!!!

I just got my muscle and fitness hers and there was a section on back training, so I followed that program and it went pretty well. Chest, well lets just say I need a good workout plan for that.

Cardio was intense. I feel better and better about cardio everyday. I am learning not to hate it quit so much. Dont love it obviously, but do not hate it either.

I wish that i could find a personal trainer around here. I cannot seem to locate one. I know that if I could get a personal trainer, they would kick my butt and make me work it as hard as I could, and I really think that is what I need. I will just have to keep checking around.

Today was Leg day. I worked entire lower body, hitting the glutes the hardest. I feel like I did a fairly decent job, but really believe I can go harder. I am really going to have to start pushing myself. My legs and glutes were shakey afterwards, but I want them to hurt so bad I can hardly walk out of the gym. Then I will know that I am working to full capacity.

I did 25 minutes of cardio. I did really push myself there. I did 20 minutes on the eliptical, as hard as I could, then switched to the treadmill for five minutes of running. I could feel it when I was done. I still do not like cardio, but I know that in the long run, I will reak the benefits of it.

Tomorrow is chest and back day. I am going to have to look around on this site for some good workouts for these body parts. I always dread back and chest the most, so I need to find something that will make it more excting for me.

I also did 7 minutes of abs, this to needs to be worked on. I will spend more time on abs thursday.
