gains and losses
the up and down of the bodybuilding world. with me it seems for every positive gain i make there is negative loss. my goal of gaining pds. of muscle is up and down, my bodyfat % goal is holding, and my strength goal is going forward.
with all of these goals i am also trying to gain mass and size. it seems every time i acheive something my weight cannot maintain. i will gain 7 pds. this week and lose 8 next week. no matter what i do i cannot accumulate any weight. maybe its just me trying to hurry everthing along and get everything at once.(i know thats not possible but it would be nice).

Hi there, I’ve been reading your other posts as well and I identify myself with a couple of things: motivation and frustration because lack of progress. I can tell you that Bodyspace is being a great help on motivation, both by checking other’s success and by meeting people with similar interests and stats. About the lack of satisfactory weight gain: if you’re trying to lower your body fat % at the same time, it might be difficult or impossible, depending on your metabolism. I personally loose 2 or 3 pounds every time I skip a meal (I eat 6 times a day, every 3 hours). So I’ve seen that consistency in eating is even more important than consistency on working out. Right now, I’ve been gaining 2 pounds each week working out 2 or 3 times a week. Furthermore, sometimes less workout gives means more growth. Consistency is the key. Anyway, you say you’re improving strength, so the gains in weight will follow for sure. Keep the hard work, bro, and you’ll get wherever you want.
