			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Decided not to go for a run today as my ankles are a bit sore from the hammering they have taken but determined to do something, and without the cash to get to the gym or any weights at home, I hit the floor =)</p>
<p>Really disappointed in what I managed as last time I did sit ups and press ups I could do sets of 20 but I suppose doing something is always better than nothing.</p>
<p>I managed:</p>
<p>5 press ups<br />
10 sit ups<br />
5 press ups<br />
10 sit ups<br />
5 press ups<br />
5 press ups<br />
20 sit ups</p>
<p>(Then dinner was ready)</p>
<p>Im going back into town tomorrow to buy a small DB set so at least I can get some floor weight work done.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s all going slow and steady, but one day I&#8217;ll be back as I was - and better!

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Got up at about 7am this morning and had some cereal and a cup of coffee to try and wake up a bit, I&#8217;m really not used to early mornings - thats gotta change!</p>
<p>I decided rather than to over work myself as I&#8217;m still really aching from yesterday to see how far i could run in 12 minutes.<br />
The result&#8230;. 1.2k</p>
<p>A bit disappointing but I&#8217;m pretty happy that I made it out to the field and got running!</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll get there =)

Not best pleased with the &#34;new&#34; gym, it doesn&#8217;t have a lot of machines, and has no free weights area so I was pretty limited on what I could do, and what I could improvise on.
Anyway, here is my workout:

<p>Machine Press<br />
20kg x 15<br />
30kg x 12<br />
40kg x 12</p>
<p>Wide Grip Pull Downs<br />
70kg x 10<br />
80kg x 8<br />
80kg x 8</p>
<p>5 Min Jog</p>
<p>2.4k run - 19:04 Mins<br />
Split into: 100m run, 100m walk</p>
<p>After thaughts/feelings:<br />
All in all a really poor workout, the gym equipment really didn&#8217;t help and there was a few people in there so I was unable to get to some machines (there are only about 5) so I did what I could just to get the feel of moving in a gym again. I wasn&#8217;t even able to stick to one set of exercises.<br />
As for the run I didn&#8217;t realise actually how unfit I am and couldn&#8217;t believe it when after running the first 100m, I was unable to carry on. </p>
<p>Determined to get my 2.4k time, I plodded on, and did feel a bit of satisfaction when the last 100m was complete. But I&#8217;ve still got a lot of work to get that down to my target of under 12 minutes.</p>
<p>Sadly, I was unable to achieve my aim of today&#8217;s workout to get a benchmark for my future training and get my &quot;1 rep max&quot; for some exercises so will try again next time.</p>
<p>All in all, I&#8217;m not very pleased with the work out but am please that I&#8217;ve managed to get in the gym an most of all, complete the 2.4k run.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After getting married, moving into our new home and a lot of laziness I am now desperate to get back into the gym. </p>
<p>I originally started due to a back condition, I was advised to build muscle on my back. I have &quot;hyper-mobility&quot; which pretty much means my joints move a little bit more than they should and crack a lot. If they move too much they will spasm and stay in the wrong position. My advice to build muscle would then stop the bones fixing in the wrong position by pulling them back. At this point in time, I was visiting the chiropractor every 2 weeks.</p>
<p>I approached a good friend and body builder Jugg and we stated training together. I noticed a great gain of strength, power, and fitness working out with Jugg and soon my back problem was in control and my chiropractor said that he did not need to see me until I felt like I needed to see him.<br />
This was an amazing goal met as he was now happy I could now carry on, without seeing him so regularly to put my back back in place.</p>
<p>Time went on, and wedding plans started and money got short so the gym stopped. My back problem has returned so I am DESPERATE to get back into the gym.</p>
<p>My current weight is 16st 13oz almost 17st (107kg) which I am very unhappy about.<br />
My diet is appalling<br />
My strength is awful<br />
My stamina - what stamina<br />
&amp; my fitness is dreadful.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve also decided to look into starting a new career that requires a LOT of fitness (I wont reveal this as yet, as it may not happen, or I may not like it) but it is a great motivator as it is something that i REALLY want to do.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m going to get into the gym this afternoon and get my stats for lifting and 12 minute running distance.</p>
<p>I hope to keep this blog as up to date as possible, and it should help to get me back on track!</p>
