It’s been a long time since I posted anything which is almost as long ago as the last time I worked out. I know it’s sad and I have no excuse. Have followed a clean eating diet (for the most part) so have not done too much damage; however, I don’t have the awesome physique I want.
My wife became a stay-at-home mom which has given us both more time to eat right and exercise. Also, the baby has been sleeping through the night for a couple of months now and we just put him down and he goes to sleep on his own. So no more excuses of not getting enough sleep at night.
My wife is really focusing on her diet and exercise as she is trying to lose the last 10 lbs of baby weight which has motivated me to get off my a$$ and hit it hard again.
I am starting with P90X as it allows me to do workouts in my hotel room whenever I travel for work. Once I complete the first round I will hopefully have my home gym ready and will start hitting the iron hard again, while supplementing with P90X when I travel to hotels/cities with no gyms.

Well, it has been about 8 weeks since I hit the weights which is about how old our newborn is. It feels so good to hit the weights again…it does not seem like I have too much strength which is good. I will be fixing up the room above the garage and turning it into a home gym.

Well our son arrived on September 30 and it has been very difficult to get to the gym. Momma had a c-section and I therefore have to take care of both her and the baby. She is now starting to be more mobile and we have started going out on walks. I have not been able to get to the gym but the way my sleep pattern has been lately I don’t think I would have the energy for it, plus I cannot get on a good eating schedule. Hopefully in a month or so he will be more "regular" in his schedule and that will allow us to plan. I think we are going to try to set up a home gym so it is easier for us to work out while keeping an eye on him.

Well, it’s been a while since I posted anything. I just came off a two week hiatus (one week planned, second week circumstantial). It felt great to get back to the gym feeling rested and refreshed. I actually started taking creatine this week with my pre- and post-workout shakes. I think this helped me attack my training with more intensity. I also just read on Muscle & Fitness their article on stagger training. I used this to squeeze my cardio in…it worked great for me and I am going to keep this up.
Well this month or two I am just going to follow a basic 4-day split with 3 exercises per bodypart and 2 bodyparts per workout. I will be doing 3 sets of 6 reps (not including warm-up set) and increase the weight when I can do 10 reps. Keep it simple so I can be consistent. After this I will try a another one of the many programs from Muscle & Fitness or Bodybuilding.com.
Keep pumping!

I am stuck in the little town of Three Rivers, TX for work. There are only about 2000 people in this town and needless to say there is no gym. I have been here since yesterday and it seems that I will be here until late tomorrow. I had to make due with what I had so I did a lot of body weight exercises (push-up variations, dips) and used an exercise band as well. I will have to make up my leg workout hopefully tomorrow when I get back home.

My legs are sore from my workout Wednesday but I can still walk. I just started the "Simply Huge Training Plan" that came out in Muscle & Fitness a couple of months ago. It is a 6 week program then I will look to find another. Looking forward to hitting my back and bi’s today.

I know it’s been a while since my last post but I can honestly say that I have been consistenly lifting 4 days a week for the last month or so. Even with my last business trip I managed to workout at the hotel gym with the dumbbells they had. I am very happy that I have been consistent with my training although I can’t say that much for my diet. I also need to start doing cardio on my off days.
Looking forward to starting a program soon.

I am pretty sore from my leg workout on Tuesday but that’s ok. What was encouraging is that I got to the gym about 4:45 PM and left at 6:00 PM and it was nowhere as packed as Bally’s was. I had no problem getting on the equipment I needed. Today I get to work on shoulders, traps and abs. Now I just have to start working on cleaning up my diet
Easier said than done.

They finally opened up the LA Fitness in League City which is only about 1 mile from the house and with only one traffic light to get to it. I have been waiting for so long…now there is no excuse to not go to the gym and I plan to be totally commited and consistent with my transformation. Will start posting pictures soon.
