Hurricane Ike

Considering they have sent everyone out of downtown Houston it seems stupid for me to be here, but hey that is what happens when you work for a world wide investment company and you are a senior IT analyst.  Everyone else gets to go home and you have to stay.  Though I did bring 40 pieces of chicken and 2 lbs of rice and three bags of salad mix.  It really sucks, but hey it could be worse we could not have two huge generators and not have any power to surf the interent….  Well everyone in Houston stay safe and Peace..

“Hefty” people

Have you ever noticed that the "hefty" people you work with stare at you as you are consuming one of your 4 billion meals a day.  I always get looks when I get up from my desk at night and walk to the kitchen every two hours to warm up a meal or make a protein shake.  I find it funny they snicker and say they wonder why I am not a big fatty because I eat so much food.  HMMM it is called a treadmill and slow cardio.  I have tried to engage them in conversations to point out that hey the lean cuisine they are eating are about as healthy as well dirt.  But they do not want to hear it.  They just want to ignore the guy that is healthy and fit and believe the tv and the pretty advertisers.  Enough of my rant.  Time for another meal….. Has anyone ever thought about how many pieces of chicken you have eaten over the years.  I think I figured out a trig formula for the calculation, but do not really feel like finding out if it works.  I am sitting here at work at 9 pm and eating my 4th meal of the "day"; chicken, brown rice, spinach, and 64 oz. of water and 50 g of protein.  What a meal.  It is not that I do not mind eating five billion peces of chicken over my lifetime, but hey maybe they could come up with some other marinades then what I am stuck with at the store.  I am just rambling.  I have 6 meals left (3 whole food 3 shakes).

Why did God invent Ab training?????

Seriously I did a killer Quad workout and calves workout (I can barely sit here at work) and then I walked over to the old crunch machine.  Started on my first set of 35 and half way through it some guy walked up and got on the machine next to me and started going as fast as possible and grunting like he was well we won’t go into that.  I just find it funny that people have to make loud noises like it proves they are working hard.  But back to abs.  I got through my third set and they were starting to hurt a little and then I started set 4 and got halfway and then it happened that little twinge that turns into that full blown cramp that takes hours to go away.  Well that was at 3 pm and it is 8 and it finally does not hurt any more.  Good day at the gym again.  Peace….

I always find it funny whenever I go back into my normal gym after working out at the company facility and normally being the only one there using it to seeing a lot of people at one of the pretty mainstream gyms.  I always get a chuckle out of the guys that bring their girls into the gym in tight little shirts and shorts to show that they are "studs" and get a hot girl and then they cannot even throw up 100’s on DB bench.  I mean if you are going to preen and strut in front of her and others in your little group standing around then at least do more then 70’s for 5 reps.  I love it I position myself where the girlfriend can see me lifting and grab 150’s and rep out 8 and let the weight hit the floor hard.  Am I showing off for her.  Nah just showing her what true training is.  It is me fully covered in a sweat shirt and sweat pants and a wool beenie on my head sweating my brains out lifting weights and enjoying the pain I am going through.

Hmmm I guess I need to quit ranting against them.  They do make up the majority of people that have gym memberships.

Did a shoulder workout today and damn if I am not sore as hell 3 hours later.  I read the shoulder training article by Charles Glass in FLEX for shoulders and decided to give it a shot.  Works pretty well and will be a staple in my routine for many moons to come. Thought I may post every so often on days instead of weeks.  Well today was my "off" day, but hell it still did not matter since it is one of my 4 low days which means the only carbs I got were from my oatmeal I ate with my breakfast.  Which was 4 egg whites and 1 whole egg plus 6 oz. of sirloin (bison-lot leaner).  Since I work nights I come up to the gym in the building to hit the treadmill for my slow cardio.  Did 45 minutes of slow cardio and then hit abs and did hypers.  I really love KC MAsterpiece bbq sauce.  Like Chick said it is the secret to Ronnie’s diet.  Did second round of cardio at 2 am like normal (another 45 minutes).  Then had a protien shake w/tbsp of peanut butter (helps with the taste) and chicken and spinach salad.  I have two more meals one at 5 and then when I get home around 7 then off to bed.

Week 5 and 6

Well got sick during these two weeks so it was a little difficult to lift, but tried to still do a little cardio.  That is until I realized that it was not a very smart thing to do sick.

Well seems getting itcked off last week did the job.  Looking in the mirror I can see some changes in body composition so I know it is working.  just will keep it up and keep going psycho in the gym and on my diet.

Well week three sucked.  Did not lose the bodyfat I was hoping to during week 2 and it has put me in a bad mood.  Though it also get me ticked off and I have gone into psycho mode in the gym and it may pay off.

Week #2

Well we are into week number two of working with Quincy and we are now doing a little carb depleting.  3 up and 3 down.  Lord is it tough not have any rice or potatoes with my meals.  I have never eaten so much salad and veggies as I have this last week.  I am currently on day one of the down time and I am a little edgy, but hey it will be all good when I start to see my body responding to all the cardio, weights, and diet.  It is rather nice to have an IFBB pro as your trainer.  You do gleen a ton of knowledge from them and the little pointers for different hand placement or foot placement or how you do a certain technique is really cool.
