I always find it funny whenever I go back into my normal gym after working out at the company facility and normally being the only one there using it to seeing a lot of people at one of the pretty mainstream gyms. I always get a chuckle out of the guys that bring their girls into the gym in tight little shirts and shorts to show that they are "studs" and get a hot girl and then they cannot even throw up 100’s on DB bench. I mean if you are going to preen and strut in front of her and others in your little group standing around then at least do more then 70’s for 5 reps. I love it I position myself where the girlfriend can see me lifting and grab 150’s and rep out 8 and let the weight hit the floor hard. Am I showing off for her. Nah just showing her what true training is. It is me fully covered in a sweat shirt and sweat pants and a wool beenie on my head sweating my brains out lifting weights and enjoying the pain I am going through.
Hmmm I guess I need to quit ranting against them. They do make up the majority of people that have gym memberships.
Did a shoulder workout today and damn if I am not sore as hell 3 hours later. I read the shoulder training article by Charles Glass in FLEX for shoulders and decided to give it a shot. Works pretty well and will be a staple in my routine for many moons to come. Hope all of you are training hard and attaining your goals. Peace.
