So, I’m really excited because I bought tickets to the BodyPower Expo in Birmingham!!! I’ve never been there before and can’t wait to see what it’s like! Hopefully, it’s a weekend of fitness education, entertainment, competition, and free supplements… lol. I guess we’ll see!
Has anyone been there before? If so, what is it like?
If anyone wants tickets or info on the BodyPower Expo you can go to this site:

I was all worried that I wouldn’t be able to participate in an UK competition because I’m an US citizen, they’re letting me!!I’m so excited and nervous at the same time! I don’t know what to expect. I’m ordering last years video so I can see what I’m being based on and what sort of figure routine I need to put together. They said it’s a 90 second routine showing off your figure to the best of your ability. :s Can we say “I have no idea how to do this”. Hopefully I can come up with something new and creative after seeing what last year was like.
Anyways, I thank NPA for giving the opportunity to compete. Wish me luck everyone!!
Until next time,
Steph

So, I read an article in Muscle & Fitness HERS this month about psyching yourself up before a workout… It really works! Normally I go through my routine with my Ipod on hip and just a little awkward with my weights, not today! I gave myself goals before I went into the gym and before I did every set I told myself why I was there and what I wanted. I made my goal of benching 75 lbs for a set of 10 reps and trying a couple new upper body exercises. I hate to brag, but I’m pretty proud of myself! I can’t wait to see what I’ll be benching in a months time… 85 lbs, maybe 90 lbs!!! We shall see!

So, I was scrolling through the figure competitions in the UK and stumbled upon The NPA Heart of England Championships. I think this is the one; the competition I’m going to make my amateur debut! I’m very excited! I really hope I can compete…
If anyone has pointers or advice I’d love to hear it!
xx

Hello! My name is Stephanie and I’m an aspiring fitness competitor! I’ve been into fitness since my early teen years and I have a background in dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading. I started wanting to compete about 2 years ago but never really had to guts to try. Now I’m motivated and ready for the experience! I live in the UK, Suffolk area, so if anyone can help me out or give me some pointers on what its like for amateur fitness competitors in the UK, I’m all ears!!
