hope everyone had a ballin weekend. I took the weekend off to see if I could beat this plateau I’ve been stuck at. Going strong again, feeling good, making changes. The campaigning is finally over, life is good.

went out partying, had a blast but lemme tell you. Im still retaining water half a week later. Its funny what you don’t remember. I’ve never noticed it before. whether thats because I was so out of tune, or for some other reason. I’ve decided that this can’t be a regular part of my lifestyle anymore. Being new it was easy not to have any life outside the gym. Not so much anymore, some of my friends even threw a kegger on a wednesday night. I volunteered as dd, but drunk people suck when you’re not one of them. So while I may still spike the egg nog, I think this season will be pretty tame comparatively.

Compete with the people around you in the gym? Not necessarily with their knowledge, but just to see if you can? I do, silly as it is I really enjoy it. Might even be a bit hobby, off to eat. ttyl.

I have my comp test in the next couple days, and I’m so excited! Its weird, last year this same time I would have never seen myself where I am now, or doing all the things that have become habit. Time just gets away, though and I’m pretty happy with where its brought me. I want to thank Pat Franz for getting me started this way two years ago, because without someone/something to motivate us nothing would ever change. We could all still be stuck in the same rut that keeps the rest of America buying miracle pills, and miracle contraptions. So I hope all of you take time to realize how blessed we all are to have seen a way out of our apathetic, lazy lifestyles.

I think Ive gotten the hang of the morning routine thing, it makes me feel like there is so much more time in my day to work with. The lady at the gym front desk has gotten used to seeing me twice a day, and no longer makes snippy remarks about vanity. Eating has become easier(god bless the man who invented plastic baggies) and Ive gotten used to the weird looks when I go places and whip out my baggies. Writing down everything I eat is tough though, i keep setting the stupid book down and losing it. Cant wait till my next comp test!

All my life I’ve been told, "sweetie, you can have anything you want but just not everything". I want to disagree, I think if you’re willing to cruise you won’t get everything you want. I like to think that if I find enough determination and drive I can do it all. Maybe I’m being naive, Im willing to find out. Today I wrote a bucket list, including short term and long term goals. Nothing so daunting as being famous, The biggest of which being my goals for my career, as well as being able to reach a low bf% at an advanced age. As for everything else I have high hopes.
The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.

Time to reshuffle a bit see where that puts me, maybe its time to start working out in the mornings (eeeww). I think Im going to need a louder alarm clock.

After a bit of an issue with my knee, Im back on the straight and narrow. Had a bit of a rude awakening after staying with some ridiculously fit football players. They’re willing to put in hours a day to be fit for a game and I was unwilling to put in a fraction of that to be fit for life? Kind of messed up. Used the wonderful bodybuilding.com resourse to find a sound work out plan and started off last week at a run. High weight low reps, two muscle groups per day, seven days a week. Wish me luck.
