Havent been able to train the way I want……and it sucks!! My knee had really been bothering me and I was ordered(by my doctor) to take 2 weeks off. I told him staying out of the gym for two weeks was out of the question. 2 weeks will turn into 2 months if I do that. I have been in the gym…..but I cant do anything weight bearing. So,basically,the only cardio Im able to do is the recumbant bike. My two weeks is up soon,so if the dr gives me the thumbs up……Im comin back guns blazin!!!! Just seems to be the way it goes for me…..I get a good head of steam going and then something happens to throw me off track. I should be used to that now! lol Good news is I’ve not let this setback affect my eating. I could take full advantage ot this and throw my diet completely out the window…..but I’ve been a good girl. *giving myself a pat on the back!*

It’s been such a crazy couple of weeks that I hadnt even noticed my pants were fitting looser until I was at work last night and my co-worker laughed and commented on how many times I had to pull them up! LOL Funny thing is,I dont see it. I mean,yeah,my pants ARE fitting looser,but I dont see any progress…..yet. But its still motivation enough to get me in the gym. I have some big events coming up and I’d like to see some good progress by then. If I bust my ass I think I can do it.
Did bi’s and tri’s today. Did 21’s today for my biceps. Havent done those in a long time so I didnt use much weight this time. I’ll see how I feel tomorrow and then I’ll decide how much to use next time.
Been a good girl as far as diet goes,but MAN Im craving a big ol juicy burger right now. And summer time is coming up,time for bbq’s and food I really shouldnt be eating at this stage of the game. Grrrrr. I had to start working out NOW huh? Im starting to think that was not so smart lol. Oh well,my goal was to fit into that really cute tankini I bought by 4th of July. Wont get there by putting crap in my body. I think if I eat any more chicken Im going to sprout feathers and start clucking!

My legs hurt SO bad from my last session with my trainer. I guess,to most people,my leg training day doesnt look so tough,but I couldnt walk right for almost a week! Our sessions are only half an hour,so we stick to two or three exercises,depending on how fast I move. He had me doing smith machine squats and plate loaded leg press. OH.MY.GOSH! I must have looked like Godzilla because I literally could NOT bend my legs! Getting into my truck was a challenge.I had to half hop in,and then pick up my other leg and put it on the floor. Thats how hard he worked me! Today he had me doing chest and back. Im not feeling it yet,but Im sure I will tomorrow. Is it ever NOT going to hurt?!

I havent been at the gym at all this week,and I feel like such a slug! Tuesday evening I started feeling not so hot. Started throwing up about midnight. Spent so much time in the bathroom,I took a blanket and my pillow and laid on the bathroom floor! Made sure to drink lots of water. Tried to choke down some Gatorade to replace whatever electolytes I lost,but that stuff is HORRIBLE! I dont know whats worse,that stuff or the Pedialyte that my mom suggested I drink. Blech! Feeling better,but am taking today off as well. Im going to try and go to the gym tomorrow after I get off work,depending on how I feel. If its a particularly bad day,I may need to do that. I was on such a roll and then I go and get sick. Teaches me to eat fast food. Thats what I get,I suppose. Never again!LOL

Been seriously slacking off lately. Eating stuff I shouldnt and not even thinking about the gym. But today Im making a conscious effort to watch what I eat. No time for the gym today. Have to go into work early. Depending on my mood and what time I get off,I’ll swing by on my way home……all I’ll have time for is cardio since they close at 11 on the weekends. My trainer gave me a sample of Atro-Phex yesterday. Im scared to try it! I looked online to check out reviews and Im a little afraid of the side effects. Headaches,cramps….yikes! We’ll see what happens. I want to do this without supplements if I can. Most of those things scare the crap out of me. If I dont know what Im putting into my body or what it could do to me,no thanks.

What a week! Between school and work I’m amazed I found time to get to the gym,but I did! Trying to switch it up as far as my cardio goes. Instead of using the machines like I usually do,I took classes this week. Man oh man did my ass get kicked! I took Stacey’s step class night. The woman is NUTS! But then again,I really feel step instructors in general tend to be a little nutty(in a good way) or they just drink WAY too much red bull. She switched it up last night and made the class more interval training than anything else. Did stiff legged dead lifts on the step……wow,I can really feel that in my hamstrings today! Eeegads! And to top of a great week,I was in the locker room putting my stuff away and I look over at the mirror and realized,wow….my butt is starting to look GOOD! I even did a little booty dance in celebration. I think I scared a few of the old ladies that were going to do water aerobics LOL They walked away REALLY fast!

I wasnt always overweight,actually. I was fairly active as a child. I played softball and I played soccer for a little while. Once I got into junior high,I didnt play sports like I had before,and I gained weight. And it only got worse as I got older. I’ve never known what its like to have a "fit" body. I dont know what its like to not shop in the women’s department. This past January,something inside me "snapped," and I got a personal trainer. Its been slow going to say the least. Im extremely stubborn and I dont always like to listen. Beause of that sometimes not so nice trait,I fell of the wagon and went back to where I started. But,I’ve picked myself up and Im more determined than ever to do this. Of course,gaining control of my health and building a fit body are great perks,but I think this will teach me patience. I didnt get fat overnight and I wont get fit overnight. One step and one rep at a time,right?
