Update About Bench Press Competition.

June 11, 2008

Hello everyone:

I am doing fine. I haven’t written in over a month. I am sad to report that the bench press competition has been postponed until the fall. Personally; I wasn’t mentally ready for it. This setback will give me an opportunity to be ready mentally and physically for the competition. Starting this week, I will start preparing for it.

Summer is officially here due to the sweltering heat that most of the US has faced these past several days including my homecity NY. After this week ends, I am planning on getting ready mentally and other goals too.

I am sorry for not writing back sooner. A lot has been happening in my life other than fitness that required my attention.  I will keep in touch.

Until then, Keep on pumping iron.

Training for Bench Press Contest.

May 15, 2008

Hello Everyone:

It has really been awhile since logging on. A lot has happened since then.  I am currently training for a bench press competition at the YMCA in June. Wish me luck. I am also excercising and I feel really great. I have dropped down to 180 ibs and doing it in a safe manner that isn’t destructive.  After I write this blog; I am going to work on my legs and will keep you updated on my progress.

Looking forward to hearing from you ie comments, suggestions.

Hello Everyone:

I hope you had a great Easter Sunday and wanted you to know that this past week was great for me workout wise. The muscle mass I lost when I was sick is coming back and definitely eating better.

I am just resting today; I do plan on working out tomorrow. I wanted to drop a shout out to my fellow gym rats.

Today; I am taking the rest of the day off and prepare for tomorrow. So long for now.

Its Friday.

February 29, 2008

Hi gymrats:

I am doing fine. I am writing this blog before I go jogging indoors. Who wants to jog in this cold weather? I am just going to do that before I go shopping and rest for the night. I will work out tomorrow and glad that I am feeling better.

I hope that everyone have a great weekend and be safe too.

Back in The Gym and Feeling Better.

February 26, 2008

Hi Everyone:

I am sorry for not blogging on Friday. I needed to rest during both on Friday and the weekend. I went back to the gym and felt great. I did go slow and it worked out fine. I did lose 25 ibs and I know I am back to square one. That is okay because I will work on my endurance and regain the muscle mass that I lost when I was sick.

I am going to cut this entry short and go and get some rest and get ready for work tomorrow. I will post again soon. Have a great workout and take care of yourself.

I Was Sick, Now Feeling Better.

February 20, 2008

Hi Everyone:

I am recovering from an illiness. It started last Wednesday and it became worse on Friday when I was at work. I am feeling better and will return to work tomorrow. I have decided to take the rest of the week off from the gym. I have already miss working with the iron and will be glad to see it again next week.

My body was aching, I had a high fever, and constantly coughing and sneezing including the chills. I also lost 25 ibs and muscle too. I have been resting and getting a lot of sleep. For those who really wondered where in the world was I since the last blog, That is what happened to me.

I was about to write about the change in my fitness routine when I got sick. The reason is way too much fast food and not enough sleep. I have decided to leave fast food alone for awhile and get enough sleep. I have eaten both Vegetable and Chicken Broth including some teas and OJ.

I am feeling a whole lot better after recieving care from both my family and doctor. Normally I don’t listen to doctors and glad that I did for the first time in my life. I also decided to cut down on sweets although they are a part of my pleasure foods and have eating them way too much.

I am asking anyone any recommendations for foods to eat as my body recovers. I do love pasta and open to trying other healthy foods too. I am looking forward to hearing from everyone else and your comments. I will return to the gym next week and write about my workout routine since my illiness for the next 2-3 weeks.

My next blog will be on Friday. I will rest for the remainder of the day. Until then, be healthy.

New Year, New Goals.

January 5, 2008

The 1st week of this new year is coming to an end and in the 2nd week of 2008. I have decided to upgrade my workouts.  Its a new year and time for new goals.  When you work with weights, your body feels it. Lately; I have noticed that my workouts have stagnated and time to get back on track.

I want to work with 105-140 ibs dumbells this year. I also want to network with other bodybuilding enthusists to help me and grow both in and out of the gym.  I am no longer concerned with what I didn’t do last year or last month. What matters is to press forward and not backwards.  It was frustrating last year missing workouts and I don’t do that. A lot was happening in my personal life that caused me to lose focus.

Now that I am getting back on track; I am determined to use my workouts to reach the next level. That also means excercising at home too. Last year, I brought workout bars that I wanted to use and barely use. That is a waste of money that you aren’t going to use them. Now that I am refocused; I plan on using them often on a regular basis.

Next week is a new day and a new workout. I also want to hear from my fellow fitness friends and please support me and I will do the same for you.

Until next time…..

Definitely keep track on my blog for further updates. For today, enjoy your day off and start the new year off with a great workout.
