From G’s Fitness Journal. Journal #1 7/3/09

This is my new fitness journal. The previous one was a false start.  And it also lacked one major thing which is focus.  The premise of the this new fitness journal is to center fitness in all three areas where are basically the mind, body, and soul.

Why? I am in good shape physically, out of shape mentally and spiritually.  It has been like that for the past 4 years.  Everything that had happened to me has both mentally and spiritually worn me down.  Those recent events have caused me to burn out.

Now I am rebuilding both my life and my mental and spiritual health.  Another factor is that I am getting older and thinking about taking better care of myself as I approach 40 next year.

In the next entry, I will write about pumping iron after taking a month off.  What has changed and what I need to get done.  This will be all for now. Until next time.

Back From Month Break.

It has been over a month since I have last written a blog here. So much has happened to me since then. I have been terminated from my job which I had in what would have been 2 years in November. That has given me a chance to reevaluate my priorities and what is important to me in life.

The positive thing during the summer is that I didn’t eat any candy or many sweets. I have lost 20 pounds and decided to remain with it. I also fasted and the results have been positive as well.  No I didn’t starve myself. I decided to make a change and it turns out that I loved it. My main reason is that I am getting older and need to take better care of myself. I will turn 39 years old in 2 weeks.

That has been on my mind lately. I will add thing in my fitness journals and put it on here online soon. I will really start posting my recent fitness journal entries on here next week definitely. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and happy workout.

I haven’t been on here in over a month.

 The reason is that I have been getting my workouts back on track and writing my fitness journal. They are going great. I will submit some of them next week. I am proud of writing them because it makes me accountable to being not just working out with the weights, my overall health.

I will end here and post again at another day.

Getting Back on Track.

I have just started writing in my fitness journal. It is going real good. I will post some entries on my fitblog soon. As for my workout routine, I need to make improvements. I discovered that the real reason my workouts haven’t been effective is because I have been spending more time on the internet and it is hurting my workout routine.

 I have decided to cut back on the internet usage and focus on my workouts. Starting today, I will mentally get into my workouts. I will post sometime next week. Maybe I will begin posting once of 2 a week for the rest of the month. I will resume posting here when I am ready. It also shows that I must work on other parts of my life that require my attention.

I will begin posting my fitness journal entries next week. Enjoy your workout and your weekend.

My Return to The Gym Part 4.

After some setbacks, I have decided to push forward and post some of my written fitness journals online.

I will write an entry tonight and post 2 from my written journal next week. For too long, I worked out without a journal and now realize that it was a bad decision. Since my time off, I have reevaluated my life and making a change for the better. I am moving forward and that is my intention.

I have a lot to get done. Enjoy yourselves this weekend and have a happy and safe July 4th.
