rewind.

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

2008 was just an awesome year. i finally got into the act of transforming my body after countless futile attempts. in fact, at the beginning of the year, i had more than a couple of failed attempts to get my body transformation going.

what really kicked me in my arse to start my body transformation was the fact that i went for a second knee operation to repair a torn cartilage. my knee has been such a trouble all these years, with an acl reconstruction being the major job i’ve done on it this far. thus, after the latest setback, right about in july, i decided in my hospital bed that i have to start getting my act together or im going to risk putting on excessive and unwanted pounds to my already heavy frame. the lack of mobility made me unable to do any physical activites so i decided to clean up my diet first and foremost. i started following Tom Venuto’s Burn the Fats, Feed the Muscles diet plan and reaped small rewards. it was hard at first, i cheated a couple of times due to the little mistakes i made in organising my diet plan but the difference was that i chose to get on with the diet instead of wallowing in the failure of another attempt, just like i had always done in the previous tries. and so i went on to gradually hop on to my stationary bicycle every morning to do early morning cardio. since i was on medical leave for a couple of months, i was able to take my time into adjusting into this early morning cardio which was unheard of for me. and so my journey started, and i promised never to look back.

fast forward to now, my waist is now a 32 inch. it used to be 38. i have attained my goal of reaching 70kg from that dreaded 90kg back in 2007. the startling part is i was so sick of setting goals after goals and failing, i completely did away with writing down my goals on a piece of paper this time and just went on with my journey that began in august. and here i am, feeling much better and healthier. so as 2009 approaches, i wouldn’t blow it all up by doing something special and having new year resolutions blah blah. i will just get on with my journey as per normal, and for me, the new year only begins when i attain my ultimate goal - to get those elusive abs visible. until then, i will work just as hard or even harder for that matter because this is where the REAL fight against fat starts.

p.s  i’ve gotten my shipment of MAP Arson! can’t wait to torch them fats in february.

first encounter.

Monday, December 29th, 2008

my first ever encounter with the dreaded broccoli was disgusting to say the least. i just detest the taste of greens and my taste buds have got alot to do in terms of adapting to this new food. the nice taste of grape fruits compensated for the disgusting broccoli but hey, by the new year, ill do my utmost best to adapt to the tast (or rather the lack of it) of the broccoli. you can’t blame me. i was the kid who cheated on the vegetables on his daily meals by throwing them away when my parents turn their backs. im trying my best now! to repent for the sins of neglecting the greens. grr.

i had my last serving of CL REDuction today after two months of usage. sad sad. but im looking forward to MAP’s Arson which will be on it’s way anytime soon. I’ll be taking a break from all supplements for a month in January to let my body return to it’s normal state and then will kick start Feb with CL Green Mag, Scivation Xtend and MAP’s Arson. Die you flabs, Die!

cheat on your girlfriends, not on your workouts.

Monday, December 29th, 2008

damn, for the first time this month, i skipped my serving of veges for not one meal but two. 3 hours of HIIT workout outdoors meant that i had no servings of vege with me. damn. but hey, not going to sweat over it, not at all. at least the protein and fats were in check! the lack of carbo must’ve jolted my poor system and i shall reward it with the usual grapefruits and BROCCOLI tonight. BROCCOLI in caps because this is the first time ever i have ditched my beloved cucumbers for what shall be the main source of carbo for the rest of my Cut Diet programme. so i guess it’s time to SLOWLY introduce my new found buddy. yucks.

i was super exhausted after the HIIT workout, and was contemplating for one single moment to shift my back workout to tomorrow instead. and then i heard a million voices kicking me in my arse verbally to get my lazy ass to the gym no matter how tired i CLAIMED to be. and that’s exactly what i did. cheat on your girlfriends, not on your workouts. perfect motto for me found in one of the bb.com tshirt. just don’t let my girlfriend hear this. ;)

The Cut Diet

Saturday, December 27th, 2008

A year ago whilst gorging out on an upsized McSpicy meal with two double cheese burgers, I looked at the Cut Diet and deemed it to be humanly impossible to adhere to.

And here I am now, one month into the programme and having the feeling that I am in the best shape I have ever been in life. I have been following the Cut Diet for almost a month now and this is my review for the month.

  • I have been using cucumbers as the source of carbo this whole month and I will crank it up a step further in ‘09 by switching to broccoli. (although i absolutely hate the taste of it!)
  • Gym work has been good so far and I havent lost any noticeable strength considering the half ketosis state that I am in most of the time in this diet.
  • I am on REDuction the whole of this month coupled with Creakic Hardcore and Leukic Hardcore. My supply of REDuction ends in a couple of days time and I will stop with the fat burning supplements for a month and will continue on February with MAP Arson, which will be arriving at my doorstep anytime soon! Leukic and Creakic will continue for the Month of Jan and then I will change it up by getting CL’s Purple Wrath and Green MAGnitude for the month of Feb/Mar.
  • Will have to be more strict with measuring my food items on a weighing scale.
  • Cardio will stay for 55 mins in the morning on an empty stomach but post workout cardio will be increased to 30 mins with effect from Jan 1st.

I am looking forward to the New Year as each day brings me closer to my ultimate goal of achieving that revealing set of abs. Bring it on ‘09!
