Slower pace

April 10, 2009

I went back and started to improve on my exercises by concentrating more on form, slowing down my pace, and sticking to rest periods. My muscles got a much better workout even though I had to lower my weight some. Concentration is a key element to how successful my workout is which is why it’s hard for me to go with friends. Even the music I listen to is slower, unless I’m doing cardio. If I keep this up with a strict diet, I should be seeing some better results.

Lifetime Fitness is great.

I really enjoy training at Lifetime Fitness. All the equipment that I am use to using is there. I never have a wait time.There are also plenty of trainers there to offer advice and acknowledge your presence. I’ve noticed that several people know each other and often stop by for encouragement. I plan to stay with the gym for the next few months.

New gym

March 26, 2009

Enrolled in Lifetime Fitness today. I have not been able to get into the gym at the apartment for the past week because no one resets the codes at 530am, which is when I workout. That’s fine though. I was tired of the cramped space and the inability of people to re-rack their weights. Lifetime Fitness looks amazing! I went on a tour today and can not wait to start using the free weight section. I’ll probably post a review later this week.

Update 24 March

March 24, 2009
This past weekend was nice. I had a chance to do a road march with my Battalion, giving my legs a good workout. I have some more free time during the week to focus on training. I don’t have a problem with waking up at 5 anymore and i’ve been fairly consistent. Still need to run to the store and buy some good ingredients to cook with though. Gaining weight is hard! I started taking photos with the iPhone. It’s faster and the quality is not too bad. I wish I could upload straight to the site.

Re-supply

March 5, 2009

I’m out of protein/weight gain powder, again. The stuff is only supposed to last 2 weeks. I get lazy and it stays around for 3. I still need to learn to buy the stuff on sale. I try to get the one that taste good since most products I’ve tried work the same anyway. The big thing is keeping my diet on track. It has been less difficult since I have a real work schedule again, but it’s not perfect. I need to plan my meals at least a week out. *mental note

Changing workout time

March 4, 2009

My job requires me to be at work at 7am. I get home around 630p and the apartment complex is too crowded for me to get anything done. Therefore, I make my way to the gym at around 5am. It’s nice and quiet, but I feel like I’m rushing some. 1 min. rest between heavy sets is a pain. Oh well, it’s a good way to start the day.
